  1. This is the time to go ahead with suggestions that could make the EIModeler the best tool for our needs. I worked with FormZ and Silo and both had quirks in exporting to Fact. No tool is perfect but if we all pitch in, the Modeler could be the tool we need. Like the song said: ...You can't always get what you wantYou can't always get what you wantBut if you try sometimes (and pitch in) you might findYou get what you need!
  2. Kishore Mulchandani posted this on Facebook: "Folks, I am currently engaging in reviving the EIModeler. I'd like to get feedback on focusing the development efforts and would appreciate if you could fill out a survey for me. If you are interested, could you message me your email address? Upon receiving the address I will send you link to an online survey. Thanks for your time." If you are interested in helping please contact him at the following address: info@moolean.com Thanks for your help!

  4. Bloddy right it deserve to be shown here! Very nice work, thanks for sharing.
  5. Take care that the horizon in the picture matches the one in your scene. Could be my eyes but it seems a little off.
  6. A very interesting article that ends with two extremely important words: "and share" Never forget those words, this is how we all grow.
  7. Hey Nige, there is a leg missing on your chair…! Kidding… Nice job and you're right, blurred reflections are great!
  8. Like Tom, my favourites are 5 and 6! As we seemly have the same taste, I shall keep him away from my wife… I cannot register to vote. All the email address I try are refused…?
  9. You've done it, got a shard of glass in my eye! Good job!
  10. You still enjoy it, it shows. Keep having fun and entertain us!

  14. Yes, impressive in the word. Keep it up Michael!
  15. The communication was perfect Akai! English is not my native language either... I think it's fantastic that people from different country speaking different language can find a way to communicate. Good day to you!
  16. As an update for the followers of this thread, I imported the model in EIAS 9.0 but the geometry wasn't pretty. I also imported it in Modo, ViaCad and FormZ with success and saved it as .fact All of them opened in EIAS 9.0 with FormZ as the clear winner for smooth and accurate geometry. Problem is NONE of them opened in EIAS 9.1 Anyone else with a similar problem?
  17. Are you trying to open a project or are you starting EIAS by itself?
  18. Yes, I'm doing this as a representative of EIAS3D. Send me only one of the 3 models that fails to import into EI. rick@eias3d.com Tell me a format that imports correctly in your 7 imported ones.
  19. What are the original formats of the failing models? Could you post or send me a model so I can check?
  20. Fake it. Use as many triangles close together making a full sheet of paper than "fold" them to create your plane.
  21. Sad joke it was… In the mean time I search the Forum and even went to the old CGTalk to no avail. I do remember there was discussions about it, that Fact export used to work but does not anymore. I also read about using Obj or FBX with better results but, for Pete's sake, I can't find any threads about it! (Who is Pete by the way?) I seem to recall Alonzo giving some interesting hints about UV mapping but cannot remember if it concerned Silo. Well, now you know how much I don't know. The depth of my ignorance is mind blowing… Good day mate!
