  1. This might be the problem… Tomas will check it for you. You might have to buy a more recent dongle…
  2. Felix, is it written Duo on your purple dongle?
  3. It's a book light, how about showing it on a book…? We could see how it clips and light the actual book. This would give you something to reflect on the object accentuating the different materials of the products. The product information could be written inside the book. That's my 2 cents (0.01 Euro)
  4. @Joe I'm not as present as I was in this Forum for I am now in a complete different business adventure with my lovely wife. It is as far from 3D as it possibly can be and my skills are fading away... You are right Joe, Tomas is actually the best feature of EIAS hands down. The customer service he provides is outstanding. He and the Igors are working their A$$es off to make the next version the best it could be. They're not taking the easy road either. They are rewriting the whole code on a new structure to get the possibility of improving the application in way not feasible before. This is costing them time and money and makes some users very impatient... But this is the right way to do business. Establish a strong base for a good structured code that can be improved upon instead of patching things up until everything crumbles. Congrats to Igors and Tomas. EIAS3D is in good hands.
  5. Nice job Kevin! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
  6. HyperGlass coming your way mate! That'll be 4 pieces of eight…
  7. Thanks Loon! I forgot the name and couldn't find "Make UV" in my archives...!
  8. Better late than never… Could not find my original tunnel animation so I did this crude one to illustrate the concept. The timing is not right but you will get the idea… You can animate a moving map simulating the moving tunnel and easily keep your screens where you want them. The curves in the tunnel are obtained with animated deformations. The trick is to time the animations to get the speed you want. You could try with EXR2Mesh and get actual polygons moving instead of a simple image… I uploaded the project so you can play with it. Some movies are missing because they are not mine. Glass tunnel.mov Project Glass tunnel.zip
  9. OMG! I deleted the wrong post…! Could you put it back on please, I'll try and be more careful… Sorry
  10. I'm trying something... Like the big guy said "I'll be back"...
  11. A glass tunnel… In the transparent part of the tube, do we see outside? What is outside? Does the projection covers all the inside of the tube/tunnel or equally spaced screens like billboards along an autobahn? Can you post a sketch or a still example of what you want to accomplish, I don't think I really understand what the final product should look like.
  12. Hey Alex! In the 90s, a friend of mine bought a 9gb Hard Drive. He paid a fortune for it. People told him it was stupid, it would take him Eons to fill it up... I was a VHS guy... I saw the arrival of DVD, 720P (My aging home projector...), Full HD, 2K and now 4K... Every time a boost of resolution arrives you reverve the new rez only for very special productions. Then, after a few years, it becomes standard and with new computers and drives you can work easily at those resolutions. Now comes 4K television... To appreciate this kind of resolution will I need a 96 inches screen? Can I really appreciate 4K vs 2K home projection? Could be, I never had the chance to experience it. If people can see the difference, they will want it. Will we go to 8K home TVs? I doubt it. We will in a Movie Theatre. There is such a thing as too much resolution. When you can no longer see the difference, it's too much. Now, what about a 250 feet Stadium Screen? Does it needs 8K? You don't look at these type of screen from 12 ft away, you are VERY far away. I doubt 8K would serve a purpose. http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/24/texas-motor-speedway-screen/ I know we can do it. Do we need it? Wanna see my 36 inches laptop...?
  13. Beautiful Michael! Outstanding personnal job. While no actual payment will come from this job the sum of knowledge acquired has no price. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Peace, health and love to all! Happy new year!
  15. After reading the the error description again, it is not a Camera I/O error, it's a Macintosh I/O error. So, maybe a glitch from the drive...? Anyway all is fine now. To get the error description list, follow this link: http://www.eias3d.com/frequent-questions/
  16. My wife has Mavericks installed on her MacBook, I'll try and check this week... Unless someone else can chime in with the info...
  17. This is a camera input output routine error: 28 Could not get file reference. Reference given Seems like allocating more ram allowed Camera to use a certain file? Any large texture or model used in Sponza?
  18. Nice words. I'm sure they appreciate that you appreciate... Joyeuses Fêtes my friend!
  19. EIAS is developped by a very small team of extremly dedicated people. While updates never come out as fast as they whish, EIAS is in constant development and improving year after year. As I said earlier, a very nice addition in your toolbox.
