  1. Darn! This is why everywhere I go people stare at me now! I should grow a mustache to defeat the paparazzi...
  2. Believe me, nobody is waiting... They will not sit on a completed V9 for two months just to make it a Christmas present..., The release will happen as soon as the last coat of varnish is dry and everyone is blowing on it to accelerate the process!!!
  3. Hi guys! Movember is the month formerly known as November, where men and women across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues – specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Once registered at Movember.com, men grow and women support a Mo (Mo is Aussie slang for moustache, where Movember began) for 30 days, getting friends and family to donate to their efforts. Last year, Movember had its most successful year to date, with over 850,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas across the globe raising a phenomenal $126.3 million USD to change the face of men’s health. The hairy movement continues to grow in 2012, with official campaigns in 21 countries across five continents. Post your clean shaved picture here as your before image and show us what you have accomplish by the end of the month or every week if you feel like it… Bring your friends! for participation or donation, the more, the better! Be a part of the movement and register today! To register : http://www.movember.com To donate: http://www.pcf.org/s...k.BEF4/Home.htm
  4. Scaaaaaary... Beautiful model, would love to see it move... Some textures in the mean time?
  5. When I need a golf ball, I use this. Never needed a closeup shot so, this was good enough... golfball.img.zip
  6. Oh my... How hard would it be to change the extension of our image files? Like .eia or something.
  7. Very inventive Frank and perfectly suited for MIMA. Beautiful concept. Congrats!
  8. Phongus, V8 is working fine under Snow Leopard and so are Transporter and Obj2fact. Apple decided to change it's OS in a way many developers had to rewrite their app code. Everyone knew it was coming since Leopard and Snow Leopard used Rosetta to be able to read older code. With the arrival of Lion and Mountain Lion, EIAS3D had no choice but to rewrite the whole code, hence the delay in production. This was a though but  necessary decision for the future of the application. EIAS3D does not own the Transporter nor the Obj2Fact code, it has to be upgraded by their respective owner. EIAS3D created a whole new importer inside V9. The possibility to be able to import your models from the free V9 Demo version to use in V8 is quite commendable and I personally considered that excellent customer support.
  9. You are right Gigayoda, Transporter that comes with EIAS 8 doesn't work under Lion. Obj2Fact doesn't work in Lion either. They will not be needed in V9...
  10. In V8 under Lion, I have no outline when positioning a window so it's hard to drop it where I want but I don't have the black screen problem.
  11. Thanks Derryl, it was worth a try. Now see the EIAS Film strip image instead of the Hard Drive... Still not close to a normal preview file.
  12. For me, the QuickView displays the image of a disk drive because .img is a Disk Image file. I installed both of Toby's plugin but it does not display a preview of the actual image unless I tweak it a bit in Photoshop as Steven said.
  13. Comfy words. In great need for the developers... Thank you Mickael.
  14. You are right Phungus, the waiting is unbearably long but, again, thanks for your patience and even if this is all we say and repeat over and over ad nauseam, the team is REALLY doing its best to get the thing out. I really don't know where Tom finds the time and energy to work this out and I respect his effort greatly. Please bear with us a little longer.
  15. That is excellent! Thank you for sharing! My summer is going away and yours is coming up, we should exchange houses half the year...
  16. For the last few months...? :P You might be right, it's the summer, well in my place it is and it's time to play outside, not with the computer... Lets hope everything gets back to normal this autumn... Nice car scene by the way!
  17. Power Particles Basic was a little plugin from earlier times. It has been replaced by Mark Granger's Particle Generator awhile back but I cannot recall in what version. I guess V6... The Manual should be edited accordingly…
  18. PPP was working in SnowLeopard. Lion broke it for me.
  19. I'm a bad boy, I fooled you... Title should read "New Artwork needed!" If you are here, it's probably because you like looking at images from you peers, check out their techniques, compare the results with your own or simply admire the work. Well, how about sharing some of your work? I'm certain many of you made images or animations recently and everyone would love to see it. If you posted on Vimeo, why not put a still in here with a link so we what's new. Thanks for sharing!
  20. The link was at the end of several Lightwave pages. It doesn't work anymore. http://www.cgchannel.com/2012/07/lightwave-11-5-feature-list-announced/ http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?t=129555
  21. That's what append when you vent in a forum... YES, after reading further, there is a lot of little enhancements that make the 20$ cost worthwhile. I LOVE Apple products, I use them all. They are overpriced but, because of that, I get a FANTASTIC service at the Apple Store and they simply work. I still hate their marketing strategy. Funny that my venting attract so many readers. Shall I do that more often??? :P Please lets leave it at that. How about sharing some new imagery in the EIAS Artwork Forum or share a trick or two in the General Forum? That would be great.
  22. You are right. It has some nice little enhancements but I'm kind of mad with Apple right now. 200 new features? An enhancement on an existing product is not a new feature. One field for typing both search terms and web addresses was in Chrome, full screen, Tab view, smooth scrolling and 6% faster performance are to be considered new features? NOT. How about giving me back my iDisk or the equivalent of Dropbox in iCloud? Their marketing strategy is making pebbles looking like mountains, they should call the update Pebble Lion... I needed the venting... I should let it go now and look at the positive side of this upgrade. Again, you are right. It has some nice little enhancements. http://www.engadget....on-10-8-review/
  23. Why would anyone switch to Mountain Lion??? iMessage? So you can talk with 10% of your friends... The rest are on PCs... Reminders? Get real, this is as basic as it gets... Facebook integration? Game center? OMG... I made the switch to Lion because I NEEDED to. I really hope Apple has awesome ideas hidden back in their labs because Mountain Lion does not cut it for me. I will wait for some real improvement before switching OS.
