  1. Ola my friend, “It´s the same "Sala Test" that i uploaded for you some time ago. My theory is if i can bake the lights (whatever time it takes) the animation after that will be faster (a pan in to 5 boys and girls chitchating near the blackboard during 8 seconds) if the Gi is calculated for every frame, (and i can´t exclude them) i think i will eliminate the Gi...“ Look my attached, the project bake light with Photons in the geometry, but dont bake GI, GI is disabled. ROOM BAKE.zip After the first frame, which is slow, each frame of the animation is rendering in 2 or 3 secs per frame (Photons Calculate pop-up as Permanent). The only negative thing is, this approach dont have the richness the GI render quality. “Can i bake the lights for the empty room and, then, ad the children iluminated separatedly (not baked)? i m not sure if i make me clear...” You could do your full scene, then render in 2 passes with a mask your children, render the class, then the children. I can help you to setup later, if you want.. :) “FelixCat Sorry for taking your time, i think Ei 9 is taking all your time right now (and your real job too)” Im having a lot of pleasure, because we develop the tools to make our lives easier here in our community including me which I use every day. Happy New Year Thanks Tom
  2. Ola Derry, Thanks, I will add in our BUG list, greyscale images are making Animator crash with Pixel Grain. btw: This is one of my music video clips which I used Pixel Grain a lot when it was created.. :) http://vimeo.com/channels/eias#12695686 Thanks Tom
  3. Ola Felix, Upload for me, please.. :) Thanks Tom
  4. Ola Felix, This what you are looking for: http://www.eias3d.com/process/show_video.php?id=1129&iframe http://www.eias3d.com/process/show_video.php?id=1122&iframe GI and GI & Secondary will compute Raytrace and for now they are not baked. If in your scene, you move anything, like a light or Group, Camera will need to emit photons. Thanks Tom
  5. Ola Derryl, please, send me your specific .img file Thanks Tom
  6. Ola David, We are in the BUG hunting time.. Could you make a simple EIAS proj to catch this bug with a “Read me” Step by step and upload to me? Thanks Tom
  7. Ola Derryl!!! Please, upload a simple project making Animator Crash with Pixel Grain, a Read me with steps list.. :) Its BUG time :) Thanks Tom
  8. Ola Derryl, If you need help, msg me.. Thanks Tom
  9. Ola Juanxer, Please take a look in the frequent Questions: - improving models Anti-alias http://www.eias3d.com/frequent-questions/ This is the way I improve my groups AA in special cases, it will help you to render 720x576 directly. - multi-frame motion blur, if you increase the number in the check box, e.g 4, you will tell Camera to render 4 frames to be sampled together creating a motion blur trail, it's not so precise like motion vector. - motion vector, having a Shutter value more than 180, will increase the motion trail, lowering it will decrease, increasing the motion vector noise value, it will improve the motion vector sampling. Hope this help and Merry Xmas!!! Thanks Tom
  10. Ola Derryl, - Probably some linked file, model, texture is corrupted, change the name of the folder which have the files and include one by one until you find the corrupted one. My guess is a texture file. - second idea, how complex is your scene? Huge one? Probably if all views are trying to draw in hardware mode and the memory is not enough. Derryl, if you want, please, upload your collect project in our FTP, I will take a look. Thanks a lot and Merry Xmas!! Tom
  11. Hey Alex!!! Great! Happy Holidays.. :) Thanks Tom

  14. Ola Brian, In our actual stage, it will slow down our process, we have a good beta team. Thanks Tom
  15. Ola Scott, Our process is going really fine, since we are changing EIAS a lot, we have more bugs to deal.. We are really happy with our development, we are here and hearing everybody.. Thanks Tom
  16. Ola Jens, You have the eye ;) State of the art... Thanks Tom
  17. Ola Diego, Im really happy to see you back to work!!!! and please, rest a bit after this roller coaster!! Thanks a lot Tom
  18. Ola Diego and Juanxer, from Matt Hoffman: “That error can be caused by: 1. The contents of the EI Resources folder (where the icon_body files live) are damaged. 2. The EI Resources folder cannot be accessed by EIAS due to a privileges problem (the user no longer has read and write privileges to the folder). 3. Disk corruption of some kind” Thanks Tom
  19. Ola Juanxer, Thanks, clear about the new HDs and the conflit about new customized OSX system. But somehow, as Diego explained me in a recent email, the new HD appears like ID 0, so, in the disk Utility appears two ID 0 start up disks, together with your good note about incompatible OSX system in a old machine, we have a good mess. Diego told me, after he took of the new problematic HD, something changed in the old Octacore main HD and now EIAS 8 still have this error. My advice is upgrade his OSX from 10.5.8 to 10.6.3, probably will reset this behavior. Do you have another idea? Thanks Tom
  20. Ola my friend, Good idea... Really weird this AA problem.. Thanks Tom
  21. Ola Alareta!!! Wonderful!!! Thanks Tom
  22. Ola Juanxer, For me, the ID Matte filter is behaving the same in CS3 and CS5, appears no Anti-Alias in both versions with “Use coverage” or not. Thanks Tom
  23. Ola my friend, Could you upload a frame with ID Matte? I have CS3 and CS5. :) Thanks Tom
  24. Ola Joe, This is the EIAS 9 new importer converting your model (default settings).. But, Im intrigued with Zbrush4 export.. Thanks Tom
  25. Ola Richard, Some Tips: - Turn off receive shadows for your transparent roof (it will speed the render). - Dont use Environment or Mirror reflections, since you are using Raytrace in normal mode. (it will speed the render). - Use your Hemisphere light Obj with less polygons possible, because each polygon will become a Area Light. (it will speed the render). - Using Selection Sets (create a selection set to your Hemisphere light Obj) and exclude it from your Sun illumination, its the way to have to have your Photon dome + Sun acting together in the way you did, otherwise, make your dome bigger than your sun Distance. :) - All Photons lights need to be Secondary + GI to work fast with transparencies and reflections and refractions. If you have more doubts, upload the prj to me. :) Thanks a lot Tom
