  1. Ola Mat, From Rodeo Manual (its included in the Docs) “Passive and user animated objects Passive objects are all objects that will be used for the calculation of collisions but not be animated by Rodeo. They are static. Nevertheless they will also add/subtract force to active objects based on their friction and bouncyness settings. A special case of passive objects are user animated objects. As the name indicates they are animated by the user in Animator. Their position and rotation is taken into account when doing the physics simulation. User animated objects are not affected by other objects in the scene. This can cause severe forces. For example, a physics controlled object squeezed between user controlled objects will be likely to fly off with a great velocity suddenly. The parameters (density, mass, friction and bouncyness) of a passive or user animated object are set the same like for active physics controlled objects. ” Hope that helps Thanks Tom
  2. Ola Joe! Please, Could you upload a really simple sample project showing the artifact? Thanks Tom
  3. Ola Joe, We are doing our best, but our last EIAS optimization is really more complex than we thought.. Thanks Tom
  4. Ola Mickael!! You will see... Thanks Tom
  5. Ola Mark! Thanks! Its really important the last optimization we are doing right now, we really would like to be faster, but its really complex. Tom
  6. Ola Thingmaker. Probably CJ Berg’s Instancer plug-in + wave deformation can give similar results too. Thanks Tom
  7. Ola Kurt, EIAS 9 features ended, we are finishing the last optimization and preparing to finish the last bugs, but you its interesting to see papers like your link. Some time ago, EIAS implemented “magnets” which was done to help me simulating “muscles” under the characters mesh. Take a look: http://www.ottostudios.com/OTTOSTUDIOS/Tutorials/Tutorials.html Thanks Tom
  8. Ola David, Yeap, sorry, but its needed. :( Thanks Tom
  9. Ola Surfren, When you bought this dongle? Does appear a stick glued in the purple dongle with the word “DUO”? normally a error like "Hardware key error: Key not plugged in #3" is caused because this dongle is not a DUO, so, doesnt work in the new Mac Intel machines. The last test you can try is connect the Dongle directly in the Mac, instead of the USB keyboard. If doesnt work, probably you will need to buy a replacement DUO dongle in our website. Thanks Tom
  10. Ola Sufren, Are you sure you are running a DUO dongle? Thanks Tom
  11. Ola Joe, Are you planing to use GI in your renders? with that size, probably Camera 8 will not handle it, need to test. Camera 9 eats everything :) Thanks Tom
  12. Ola Phungus, I already read it, I really would love to had released EIAS first, but we dont want to release a premature build, which can have serious problems. Example, Autodesk release Maya 2012 and tons of Hot fixes after, Maya users are totally irritated with this procedure. Since, Its our first upgrade, we want to do correctly and do everything possible for the next releases to have shorter development time. I really hope you can understand us. Thanks Tom
  13. Ola Mike, Waiting to post :) Thanks Tom
  14. Ola! Cool! Please, send me images! I would like to post in our website with your credits! Thanks Tom
  15. Ola David, Thanks a lot for your tip! Tom
  16. Ola Vince! Same route. Thanks Tom
  17. Ola!! Excellent website!!! My goal will be always let our user base family happy with EIAS. Thanks Tom
  18. Ola Vince, If I remember well, you will need to open the 2.9 file on EI Universe, then open on EIAS 6.5 and after that in a EIAS Mac Intel (after 6.6). Hope that helps Thanks Tom
  19. Ola, If you need to populate your renders: http://xoio-air.de/2...reen_people_01/ http://www.immediateentourage.com/ Thanks Tom
  20. Ola Mike!! Awesome work!! Thanks Tom
  21. Ola Rich! Excellent example! I don't have experience with Scratches shader. Thanks Tom
  22. Ola Mike, Sorry to hear you had problems with Proxy! please, collect later your problematic project, I can take a look! Thanks Tom
  23. Ola Enrique! Thanks a lot for the tip, good to know :) Thanks Tom
  24. Ola Michael, As user, I expected lots of things in the past, now as owner, we are trying our best to make our life's easier as users! Thanks Tom
  25. Ola, Please, send me your OBJ, the .MTL file and if you have textures and displacement too. Let me look first.. Thanks Tom
