  1. Hi Michael, Do you have any reference? Ian
  2. You heard it chaps, Barry has released a new version of MoCon (it's free!) that can transfer Cameras from EIAS to Nuke. Great work Barry, I'll be using it tomorrow! http://www.3dmation.com/ Best, Ian
  3. These technologies are only useful in 'certain' situations, but rest assured, we are working very, VERY hard to modernise the EIAS infrastructure :)
  4. You can save files in the demo - for 30 days (it's fully functioning). Ian
  5. If polytrans doesn't like it, I think there is something wrong with the file. Have you tried installing the Max 2010 demo on the PC? Ian
  6. Yes, I think it's safe to say that this feature is defunct now, I can't see anyone managing to still find it useful... A couple of those shaders are interesting though, and they do work in regular projects... Ian
  7. I've been surprised how good SimCloth is (and, actually, how fast). The only problem for me, is that EIAS has no 'forces server'. But, all good things ;)
  8. Truly stunning, exceptional work sir! Thanks very much for sharing, Ian
  9. We'd like to see this too :) Best, Ian
  10. I think this is worth having a think about.... Nice idea, Ian
  11. Hi James, Can you choose 'middle' for the object link, then do right click > set selected? Best, Ian
  12. Hi Bill, What I meant to say was that the idea made it into the EIAS 8 User Pack list, but didn't make it to the shortlist for voting, I will speak to the Igors, but it may well (and hopefully will) be up for voting in the EIAS 9 user pack. Best, Ian
  13. Hi Bill, Richard, I think 'Collect Material' (a button next to 'save material') is already in the UP file, though I will double check. Ian
  14. Hi Monday, That'll be a a short while i'm afraid. As Tomas has said, Camera is currently undergoing surgery, once the current tasks are done, we can give you a more accurate date, sorry I can't be of more help. Suffice to say, it will be as soon as humanly possible! Best, Ian
  15. Hi James, What does this script do? I haven't seen it... Ian
  16. Hi James, If I remember correctly, QTVRs never worked via Rama... I could be wrong though. Best, Ian
  17. 3D Toolkit projects were never compatible with EIAS I'm afraid. Though you could export everything out as Facts... Ian
  18. Hi Igors, I also totally agree, I had no idea this was possible, though I did know that Animator uses a lot of RAM (and will crash when it loads a project requiring more then 2GB of RAM - with no warning). An excellent idea Igors, Ian
  19. 1. allow user to make the deformation list box bigger (like texture map box) 2. ability to (reorder) deformation region up to the top position 3. single button that turns off and on all deformations for an object 4. highlight entire animation line (key frames) when object is selected (see after effects) 5. ability to select animation channel of an object to highlight its key frames 6. raytrace shadow radius should be a ratio of the distance to the reference. If I animate the position of the light, the softness of shadow would remain consistent. 7. fog should be related to camera position (as it is now) but have the distance relate to camera reference position. as the camera is animated the fog distance automatically animates based on the camera reference. 8. global light adjust. In the render menu, a factor to adjust all light intensities in the scene. 9. ability to adjust the opacity of background image in camera window. we can adjust the opacity in the map window which is seen when rendered but not in the preview. 10. auto save 12. automatically search for missing files, have EIAS copy and paste the name of the missing file into the search field of the import dialog. 13. in the project window, select a model and have the option to reveal file in the finder.

Hi everyone, User uploads via a web browser have been enabled: http://electrichideout.no-ip.org:8080 An FTP client can also be used via: ftp://electrichideout.no-ip.org/ For both, the login details are: Username: UserFTP Password: EIAS This gives access directly to the Files/FTPUpload folder. We look forward to seeing your work! The EIAS3D Team.
  21. Are you rendering in strips? Ian
  22. Indeed, in fact, various other 3D packages are adding dongles, not removing them. Though, of course, a good solid demo/ learning edition is certainly on the cards, Ian
