  1. Ola Anthony, Please, Do a screen grab of your settings from EIAS 6.5 proj. On EIAS 8, delete the SimCloth build and add a new one (1.1), do the same in your new Universal binary shader.. Deleting old plug-ins and shaders from old EIAS versions, only replacing manually the values are the best way to avoid imcompability when they appear, in many cases, everything works fine, since EIAS 6.5 changed to Universal Binary on Version 6.6, lots of changes was done in all EIAS code. After this, only anable or desable shares or textures in the render window to seel if you have another Old shader giving you prb or its a corrupted texture. Thanksss Tom

  3. Ola Phungus, I played with RT shadow and Caustics... of course its slower, 16 secs a frame, but I liked your sample prj.. btw: Where you placed the Psunami Ocean shader? Anything else? Did you use the Hemisphere dome to have Air Optics enabled? Thanksss :) Tom SeaMDDRT.mov

  5. Hey Shaya, You only need to copy Xpressionist and Rodeo plug-ins from EIAS 7 Socket folder to EIAS 8 Socket folder, they will run without problems. Thanks Tom

    Camera MP

    Ola my friends, We thought we'd give you an update on just one of the things we're doing behind the scenes. We have started testing builds of a multi-processor aware Camera. All ray-tracing is now MP aware (including Global Illumination, soft shadows, blurry reflections, Photons and so on). Although the first results look promising, there is still a lot of work ahead. Up to now it's only a Mac build, so our next task is to move multi-threading over to the Windows platform. We'll keep you informed, so stay tuned for further updates. Thanks The EIAS3d Team.

  22. Ola Carlos, If am I not wrong SILO export a facts with prbs.. 1) Try to export in OBJ 2) convert it using OBJ2FACT or Transporter 3) The model will came fine. Msg me if you have troubles, I can help you online Thanksss Tom
  23. Ola Antknee, - 1.0 and 1.1 are the same plug-in, only with bug fixes, 1.1 release have prj files to EIAS 8 with a new manual and video tutorials. You need to move the cylinder and the cloth will follow, togheter with Air Drag parameter. Remember in the manual and video tutorial. 1) Turn off the Sim Cloth plug-in 2) look the Plane Ubershape plug-in strenght tab 3) You will see 2 painted maps (Hard Fix and Soft Fix) 4) both Hard Fix & Soft Fix are enabled in the plug-in, these options made the Plane (Flag) follow the cylinder motion and make the Right side of the plane stay fixed in the cylinder.
