Hi All - This is my first post in response to Steven H., who asked a question regarding how I created my WALL-E tread animation using the Bullet Engine. (The animation clip should be somewhere in the Gallery Section, showing WALL-E passing by the camera, while his wheel treads are in motion.) Here's a PDF file with a description of how I approached the problem, and some Quicktime movies showing some intermediate motion tests. I hope this answers any questions out there :-) Chip. Ola Steven! The cube is position constrained on both bones end, click in the cube and then in the constrain window, I only animated the power of each position constrain, from 1.0 to 0.0 in one bone and the second from 0.0 to 1.0 Simple trick! Thanks Tom

EIAS Plugin/Shader update status
Tomas Egger replied to thingmaker's topic in EIAS Plug-ins and Shaders
Ola Brian! Which plug-in are you using? Tailor? Thanks Tom -
Ola, Placer Deposit is good for Grass too, Im trying to find a recent nice sample test from one of our users, it have the wind feature and Blair already have the 64 bits version.. Thanks Tom

Ola, I just did this simple Constrain project, worked fine, please, take a look. Edit: This is a simple Position Constrain, transferring a Cube from a Bone end to another, animated. Thanks Tom Constrain.zip

EIAS Plugin/Shader update status
Tomas Egger replied to thingmaker's topic in EIAS Plug-ins and Shaders
Ola! As soon we have a bit of time, right now, we are working in the next features... ! Thanks Tom -
Ola Joe! We are working really hard here! Lets see what will happen.. :) Thanks Tom
-
Ola, Sorry Vivek!! No plans for Black Friday’s promotion this year :( Thanks Tom
-
Ola Greg! Hmmmm, some step did this bug! Create a new proj and merge this old one, look what happens.. Or delete the duplicated and merge in a new scene which have only the Domo light. Thanks Tom

Ola Michael!! Glad to hear about EIAS 9.1 :) Please, contact Luis: luis@eias3d.com If am I not wrong he is already testing NX 64 bits.. Thanks Tom
-
Ola Michael, It's quite simple, looking the Error message, EIAS 9.1 is trying to render the scene using a EIAS 8 shader (NX), if it's in 64 bits mode render, it will be not possible, since the shaders need to compiled in 64 bits. Some steps to EIAS 9.1 don't use old EIAS 8 tools. 1) quit EIAS 9.1 2) rename EIAS 8.0.0 to another name, like EIAS 8.0.1 3) open the scene in EIAS 9.1, it will force the scene use all shaders and plug-ins to be the 64 bits versions included in EIAS 9.1 4) remove NX for now and save as the scene, until Luis release NX 64 bits. Note: now when you select a plug-in in project window or a shader in the material window, you have a new option named reveal in finder, which help you to see if EIAS 9.1 is using a new tool or a old EIAS 8 which can slow down the render or make Camera crash. Hope that helps and hope you are liking EIAS 9.1 Thanks Tom

Ola Michael! Please, open Camera settings, change the mode to 64 bits architecture and then click in the "optimize" button, it will use all the memory of your machine. Msg us after the tests ;) Thanks Tom
-
Ola, Camera 64 is really needed too. Thanks Tom
-
Ola Vic! Did you change to new Slaves to 9.1 with a old Project in the Rama queue? (so, its an old EIAS 9.0 project)? Thanks Tom
-
Hey Joe! Its always good to hear the wishes and don't worry, we pay a lot of attention in every new technlogy around us :) Did you test EIAS 9.1 in Gouround mode, textures off with High poly counts? On my old Video card, its like 30 times faster :) We are running here in the next changes :) Thanks Tom
-
Ola Michael! I want to see it too :) Msg me!! I have new Tips for you!! Thanks Tom
-
Ola Joe! Congrats ;) Don't forget to download and install the Free sIBL samples, it's a really cool feature, automatic Enviroments which you can save Global illuminations presets! Sample projects: http://www.eias3d.com/tutorials/ Thanks Tom

Ola Michael! A Tip for you, get a Turbo Squid Model and use EIAS 9.1 Demo, it will convert the model for free, EIAS 9.1 only doesn't save the project, but conversion is fully functional. Hope that helps Thanks Tom

Ola Joe! I just uploaded the Joe.zip in your Dropbox, if you turn off the displacement texture, the problem will disappear, so, I opened the map, changed to RGB and added a Alpha channel based on the inverted map of your RGB channel, used only the Alpha to render and now worked perfectly. I guess the artefact was introduced due the changes in EIAS 9 to render Zbrush now more precisely, so, the maps need to have more depth. See if it helps. Thanks Tom

Ola Joe! But GI & Secondary are the fast transparency render using Photons, Irradiance is the most precise. I will add here in our list to take a look further in your proj!! Thanks Tom
-
Ola Joe, You had a mixed scene setting, your Photons Lights are GI & Secondary, but your GI window is using Irradiance (Draft). Project attached, its full Irradiance, its slower than Photons only. Photons only have the group behind the glass flicking, I will need to investigate better later. Thanks for your project. Tom irradiance.zip

Ola Rich, Collect the project ready to render and send to me, let me take a look ;) I hope can take a look fast.. working like nuts here! Thanks Tom
