    NEW site

Very responsive web site. Background color constantly changing is a little annoying... The work presented on the other hand is top notch! I love the new treatment you did on your “San Marco” espresso machine. That is outstanding.
  2. Not from scratch Bill, FormZ will output the word with the chosen font as IE does. If your modeller doesn't do it, send me the logo, I will give you the .fac, it's a matter of seconds. rick@eias3d.com
  3. Bill, I had the same message with a font (Myriad pro) yesterday... Some fonts will induce the problem others won't. I cannot find a pattern. As I actually had to use that particular font, I modelled it in FormZ... To be investigated further...
  4. That's a beautiful one. I think you got a nice balance overall. Thanks for sharing!
  5. I agree Steven, once rendered the frame could stay put with a progress bar of the next frame status running under it. Very interesting suggestion.
  6. That's an inheritance no one wants to get...! Lots of work in there Shaya. The speed at which you are improving your skill is commendable. Congratulations!
  7. I just tried with Transporter 5.5 (EIAS 7.01) and it worked as expected. Will try tonight with 5.53 (I suppose it comes with V8)
  8. Check the refraction index of your glass, I suggest 1.52 (common) Here is a PDF of various refraction index from Robin Wood: http://www.rdnmultimedia.com/eias/Refraction_index_of_Various_Substances.pdf Robin Wook link: http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/Gen3DTuts/Gen3DPages/RefractionIndexList.html
  9. Getting there all right! And doing great. More knowledgeable people will probably chime in with suggestion for the lighting setup but, looking at the thickness of your glass table, I think it's missing refraction. What index did you use?
  10. Nice clean job Al. What did you use for relief map?
  11. Excellent! You got the mood perfectly...! And the way you read the title... gets me every time! Good luck!
  12. Ola Alberto, I checked the meaning of Ukiyo-e and it is "picture of a floating world" You capture the concept nicely.
  13. Oh! You are this Carlos...! You hope I like your work... I'M A FAN!
  14. A vampire with a broken canine, poor little fellow... Loveable chap he is! Could you give us a link to your last short?
  15. Check him out gang he's doing a great job! We'll be following you Randall.
  16. He used Cinema4D and Modo. I believe it is a personal project.
  17. The Socket is the receptacle into which we Plugin something. Shouldn't we call it a "Something"? :P
  18. Quite impressive Bert. Projected set elements is a great idea, versatile and maintenance free... Nice elaborate models, chandelier and sculptures.
  19. Ian made a tutorial about ocean waves in the defunct Paralumino Store. I'm pretty sure it had info about the creation of foam. I think it was called Bodies of water or something. I'm sure Ian will pitch in with more info...
  20. Very interesting. I checked your link and I really think this thing has potential. I wonder if a plugin or and additional deform like Runwave could be made with the algorythm.
  21. I love the logo and I think you have great taste in motorcycles... I wish you get your deal!
  22. It will not be real time. Move the cylinder then hit preview to see SimCloth calculate the simulation.
  23. 3 days without an answer... Sorry James, that's my bad. It's not Igors job to scan the Forum and keep contact with the users. Of course it always pleases them to give information but I should have acknowledge before that. We are constantly scanning the Forum from a variety of hardware and this 24 hours a day as we live in many time zones. No friend should be left alone in the dark... Please accept my apologies.
  24. My bad Mark, I forgot a file for After Effects and I used the x264 codec for my Quicktime render. Try to download again, it should work. x264 has more option than H264 and is not plague with the gamma issue. You can find it for OS X at Version Tracker.
  25. Nice job Ross! Mapping an animated impact on a sphere gives you another method of achieving the effect. Movie: http://www.rdnmultimedia.com/eias/Energy_hit.mov Project: http://www.rdnmultimedia.com/eias/Energy_Hit.zip
