  1. Ola Vic, How many polys? Can you render in a smaller size? Thanks Tom
  2. Ola, Our public EIAS page on Facebook :) Time to “Like” our EIAS :) http://www.facebook.com/pages/EIAS-Electric-Image-Animation-System/111879562237500 Thanks Tom
  3. Ola Rob, From Matt: “lol There never was a Linux installer. There was a Solaris installer, but I do not have that version and it was specific to a 10-year old version of the Solaris operating system. Matt” Thanks Tom
  4. Ola Rob, I will ask Matt if he have the installer :) Thanks Tom
  5. Ola, Good to know Thanksss Tom
  6. Ola Dieguito, Good to know you found the problem, but its the first time I see a problem like this Thanks Tom
  7. Ola Dieguito, Did you try enabling the Sphere and the plug-in motion blur? Thanks Tom
  8. Ola Brian, The only work around I see right now is, add several “Place Deposit” instances to reach each one 2GB of Ram. Thanks Tom
  9. Hi Brian, Yes, Camera 8 is limited to 2Gb RAM barrier, same as any 32-bit app. With 64-bit Camera you'll be able to use all RAM installed on your machine. Note that model plug-in should be updated to 64-bit too. Otherwise it can run in 64-bit render pipeline but create data up 2 Gb limit only. Thanks Tom
  10. Ola Dave, Excellent tip :) Thanks a lot Tom
  11. Ola Joe, show later your tests :) We are full time on EIAS 9 :) Thanks Tom
  12. Ola Joe, Render wireframes in EIAS is pretty easy, but its not possible to show less polygons than the original model, only if you use some tool to decimate the mesh like LODe Stone from Blair. http://www.northernlights3d.com/Products/LODe_Stone/LODe_Stone.html Are you using transparent wireframe mesh or a white model with black lines? using a white model with black wireframe lines will hide the back side of your model. Thanks Tom
  13. Ola Dieguito, Change Staff and Everyone to Read & Write.. If your new machine is working, wait until you finish the project and probably you will need try to fix permissions and if not work clean and re-install the problematic machine. Thanks Tom
  14. Ola Diego, On Mac: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/RenderamaPrefs (of course, "username" is user's name) On PC: {Animator folder}\Preferences\RenderamaPrefs Take a look if Preferences folder have permission to write and read and apply to all content inside. Thanks Tom
  15. Ola my friend, my guess: Its a OSX permission problem somehow, so, Rama cant save the queued jobs preference. Please, Run Rama in another machine and take a look. Thanks Tom
  16. Ola Anthony, Sorry for my delayed answer, you are correct, this is the actual way to work with several Slaves (in your case, 16) and Rama using EIAS 8. This will be one of the amazing changes on EIAS 9, you will need only one Rama and one Camera in your 16 cores machine. :) Thanks Tom
  17. Ola Diego, I never saw this in Rama, Do you mean from 25 queued jobs, Rama skips from 2 to 4 jobs? or Rama skip to render a few frames in the jobs end? Thanks Tom
  18. Ola, EIAS 8 already include simple panoramic camera match moving tracking, but, if you need to use complex 3d tracking Cameras, EIAS imports Boujou .ban files, Autodesk Match Mover files and Synth Eyes files. I do all my films with SynthEyes and already used Boujou 3D tracking too (perfect 3d matches with real Cameras) http://www.ssontech.com/ http://www.vicon.com/boujou/ Thanks Tom
  19. Ola, Do you need to update right now? otherwise, please wait. My Suggestion, wait EIAS 9, it handles a lot of things better :) Import files better and faster, handle large files really better and render complex scenes with GI and Photons in large formats using Multi-processors and 64 bits, not counting the new features which will be reveled in the release. Thanks Tom
  20. Ola Anthony, What you mean with preference file? from Animator or Camera? I would like to help you.. :) Thanks Tom
  21. Ola, Anthony, I tested with a Area Light, didnt work, I really dont remember to see a sample like this, good question yours. Dave, Ian? Any thought? Thanks Tom
  22. Ola Anthony, Do you mean, use a spot light or area light with a mirror to light another surface? Thanks Tom
  23. Ola Michael!!! Wonderful.. Photons are becoming better and better :) Thanks Tom
  24. Ola Steve, Feel free to message anytime :) Thanks Tom
  25. Ola Steve, You will need to enable “Transmission” material in Cloth and in your Light :) Take a look: - Material Window - Light Window - Render Thanks Tom
