  2. Hi, I usually export geometry from EIAS to C4D via Alias.obj export, good results but Uv's are not included, I don't know if it is possible export also Uv's from EIAS. I not sure but I think that EIAS can only read FBX. Diego
  3. Hi Thomo, for an error or bug can be corrected must be sent to developers an example in which this problem occurs. For PC Renderama error is especially difficult to reproduce because you have to define the machine from which you are sending Renderama and slave machines, operating systems, versions, the kínd of projec you are trying to render ETC. Meester-Smeeth has a PC configuration that has not had any problems. I've been to Hamburg with the Planetarium Team and had different problems like you Renderama crashes and endless writing frames status were immediately resolved as soon as we put a Mac machine for Renderama master. I still have not been able to define under what specific conditions Renderama fails on PC. If you want your problem fixed, please, have to be very specific to send programmers the conditions under which the error occurs, so they can reproduce this problem and find a solution. Programmers are the first who want to provide users with good solutions. Thanks Diego

Years ago all my computers were mac, I started to need more render speed then a friend lent me a PC with an i7 and I was surprised how fast it renders, then I realized it was much cheaper, fast and stable to render with Pc's, even many of the problems I had with my mac renderfarm disappeared on PC. I currently work creating scene with Mac computers and render with 10 x i7 PCs, I use a Mac Nehalem as Renderama machine. All I know is that EIAS developers are doing wonders with the program now with 64 bits has much more capacity, speed and quality remains unsurpassed, that's the reason because the Hamburg planetarium development team have chosen EIAS 9.1 for their full dome projects which are rendered in 60 fps and 8k.   5. Hi Alex, yes it is true that some times it also happens in Mac but very rarely. When using from PC master to Pc slaves it happens very often, and you have to wait one hour just for the "writing image" process. Thanks Diego
  6. Hi Thomo, In my studio I use Mac as master and PCI as slaves and it works perfect for years. I am now helping in Hamburg Planetarium and here they have the master and the salves on PCs they are having several problems. I've convinced them to buy a Mac to use as master, let's see what happens. Thanks for you help Diego

Hello All, I wanted to present the latest work in which I have been involved the last year and a half. _We made a 50 minutes 3D blu ray disc fully rendered in EIAS. _We are also producing now a Planetarium Show 360 degrees full dome rendering with the same content. _A 4 K's version is on the way. Please take a look to some samples: http://www.lichtmond.com/clips.phpi I wanted to acknowledge the constant help and support I have received from Tomas Egger, The Igors and all EIAS Team. All this work is being done with a 10 Pc's i7 renderfarm. And some Macs for the scene creation. The release was in October 10 and we are already n1 in sales in Germany and Austria. Enjoy it!   13. Hi Brian, Yes, MDD is a great way to import animation into EIAS. To make it work for Renderama you must to copy the MDD file in the EI Sockets / MDDfiles folder of each slave. Also the MDD.plm must to be present on each salve, And of course also need to be copied on the main computer from where you send the Renderama work. I hope this help. Cheers Diego

  17. Hola Steven, On my desktop, I can see .img files by taping on the space bar, but not all of them it looks that only .img files generated by PS or AE can be viewed. Would be really great to see all the .img files via space bar in the desk. Very good to save time.

  19. Hi, you can install EIComponentUB.component in QuickTime Library, then you can see .img file just tapping the space bar. Find it in Telegraphics plug-in as Steven said. You also can find a fantastic script that allow you to export cameras and objects from EIAS to AE and backwards. called 3Dmation_Script. http://www.3dmation.com/ Cheers Diego
  20. HI Scott, I use models created in C4D all time, one of the most used is OBJ with uv's, EIAS open it perfect. You have to be careful about some things in C4D: 1; Remove N-gons 2; Optimize unused points 3; Align normals As for export from EIAS to C4D OBJ is also a good option, the models open perfect but uv's will be lose.   23. Hi, yes, I was thinking that "Swage" extrusions can be animated, I'm not sure if you can animate branches, I have to try some imported path from illustrator. If connected splines give a good geometry then it may be a good tool to grow trees or neural systems. Diego
  24. I'm not sure if it will work with-out texture but, you can try the new TextureFilter.shd wich is reactive to vertex colors it allows you to control RGB, Saturation, and Value.
  25. Hi Steven, If ithe model comes with UV's normally have a bitmap that you can adjust in Photoshop. If not you can bake the texture object in a program like C4d, on this way you have a bitmap texture tu fine tune in PS. I hope this help. Cheers Diego
