  1. Wow! just came to see what happens in our forum and I find this amazing grace congratulation! Thank you guys you have put a big smile on my face. Already 49 years, I've spent the last 15 years creating worlds with EIAS. 15 years of great enjoyment. I think after this life I will go to one of these worlds to to continue the adventure:) Thank you! Cheers Diego
  2. Hi Joe, Asteroid come directly to Spain very near where I live, hopefully is not a premonition :) Excellent quality as all ways, I like the day/night look, I also like how you use Smokers. Cheers Diego
  3. Hi Christian, Are you using the latest versions of the shaders? are you in renderfarm mode? it looks like a re-installation of the shaders can help here. We are continually using these shaders without problem in V8 but I remember once I had to reinstall them. The versions that I have installed are from: March 19, 2008. Cheers Diego

  5. I remember those stunning transform effects in The Mask movie. Hey Joe, really nice finding this motion blur from TimeWarp in AE, I is very good quality for camera motion blur. I've been reading about this plug-in, it was originally designed by "The Foundry" they always done a very good quality plugins Some time ago you resurrected the Smokers on my workflow and now this Motion Blur, Thank you! Cheers Diego
  6. Hi Richard, I agree with you, "Shutter Angle" name is not very intuitive, like you've always thought that a value greater than 360 degrees had no effect, yesterday I was tired of not getting any motion blur on particles and I put 3000 º while I thinking some alternative about, then I saw that yes! values above 360 have much effect! "Blurriness Amount" it is a more intuitive name, and do not need 15 years to discover:) I know I'm not very clever. Cheers Diego
  7. Hello, we were finally able to deliver the work on time:) When we move the project to a new machine there were no more Rama closes. On the old machine seems that I have to install the system from 0 in order to fix the permissions problems, the bad thing is that I do not know at what point the disk permissions are spoiled, so this is something that can happen again at any time, I hope that Lion has resolved these things better. Thank you for your help. Cheers Diego
  8. Hi Tom, The spheres are the built-in spheres of the PPP so no possible to activate the sphere motion blur separately, but if I use the "Shutter Angle" around 2000 it seems to be ok, is the first time I put the "Shutter Angle" so high but if it works it is okay:) Thanks for your help. Cheers Diego
  9. Hello All, Im very new on PowerParticlesPro and I can't get motion blur from sphere particles. Please is this possible? Thanks in advance Diego
  10. Ok, I'll try allow Read & Write Staff and Everyone, But for the moment the new maschine seems to be ok, it is in the 50% without quit Renderama, I'll wait to finish the project first. Thank you Tom, here we keep the fingers crossed:) Cheers Diego
  11. Ola Tom, Here is the info of the Renderama Preferences, same in all computers. DiegoBonati(me): Read & Write Staff: Read only Everyone: Read only Do you think I have alow to Write also in Staff + Everyone? I've changed all the projects to a new computer an Octa Nehalem with OSX 10.6.2 and I launched from there Renderama, for the moment seems to perform better has not quit yet Renderama, but have to wait a little to really knows if it is better. I think there is a conflict when Renderama is up in background and on the same computer you're working in Animator and making renders with local Camera. I've done this for years without problem until SnowLeopard comes. Thank you very much for your help. Diego
  12. Ola Tom, We are in a very stressful situation because the dead line. Renderama closes between 2-4 time per queue and when I re-open it not remember the percentage of work done and it begins to render again from 0%. Now I have 28 queues, you can imagine the work involved. If Renderama closes I can easily reopen it and continue to render, the problem is that it starts the render from frame 0 again! :( we are talking about 400 - 600 frames per queue. I think that Renderama closes because a problem related to the Glow layers but Im not shure. But I can not understand why? Renderama restart again the render from frame 0 instead of continuing to render the percentage that have made. We have reinstalled all Slaves from 0 and also EIAS 8.0 new from 0. Now we are changing everything to a new maschine to see if something change. Mac OSX 10.6.7 EIAS 8 it is a 32 cores renderfarm. sorry for my bad English Thanks Diego
  13. Hi Joe, I normally have to stitch frames manually with QuickTimePro because are bigger than 2 GB. I have 25 renders now in the queue, renderama usually jumps two or four times for each of the 25 render then I have to re-open EIAS to request a render again with a new range of frames so I need a person dedicated specifically for Renderama. This problem is becoming very unproductive now with OSX 10.6:( Greetings Diego
  14. Hello all, I have a problem with Renderama 8.0.0, since I installed OSX 10.6.7 Renderama close very often but in recent days has added a problem, is that Renderama not remember the work done before closing, so if you had done 50% of a scene and Renderama closes, when re-open Renderama the "Status" is Waiting and "Completion" 0.00% ! Does anyone else experienced this problem? Any help is welcome as we have much work to deliver. Cheers Diego
  15. Hi Maher, When I use convergence by reference I animate the camera reference like you, but this technique "forces" the viewer to look where the convergence point is placed. As you can see in next picture the fish in the center is not double image but the things that are closer to the fish and that is farther away have double image, this forces the viewer to look at fish. This creates a truly spectacular "3D" effect. But must use more careful to not bother eyes. In a large landscape in which you want to let the viewer to see where they wants it is best to use infinite convergence and when using infinite convergence I have to animate the stereo separation when objects come close to the camera (-0 run off the screen) , the reason for this is that if you use a stereo separation as in real life the "3D" effect of the landscape is a bit poor so exaggerated a little the stereo separation you see a "3D" effect more powerful but if an object coming towards the camera then it is better to make a gradual reduction of the stereo separation in order to have a correct -0 effect. In the picture below you can see the convergence at infinity better for large places. I would like to see a day stereoscopy directly into EIAS at least in the anaglyph method. Sorry for bad English. Cheers Diego
  16. Wow! one of the best interior architectural renderings I've seen with EIAS, congratulations Michael. please can you share your machine / render time? Cheers Diego
  17. Hola Juanxer, I usually solve this problem by applying the texture in the source modeling program (C4D or Zbrush) and exporting the .obj with UV's. Then importing in EIAS via Obj2toFact . If the pieces don't retain their bit of textures in place that means no active Uv's on the model. Generally you have FIRST to check the model UV box in EIAS and then load textures. Hope this help, Diego
  18. :P Ha ha, I think that this will cover our eyes with the ears ;-) I would like to see this issue fixed and also to see the left and right camera view mixed inside Animator. In many scenes I have to animate or key frame the stereo separation, when the objects come very close to the camera almost always have to reduce the stereo separation and this is actually very laborious to test it. Cheers Diego
  19. Hi Maher, Are you using left or "right channel only" in stereo camera mode? it is little bug. I open the right and left channel from snapshot folder in quick time 7 and you can manually superimpose channels an see if your stereo separation it is ok. Another good technique for stereo work is to cross your eyes but not everyone finds it easy:) Cheers Diego
  20. Hi Maher, At the moment the Shutter glasses system has twice the resolution than polarized lenses and is much more immersive experience. I agree that the 3d TVs has just begun, and we still have far to go, but stereoscopy began two centuries ago and is not expected to change much as long as we have two eyes :) We really enjoyed testing and moving the convergence point in EIAS is much impresive than the parallel infinite way. At the end when we were finishing "Lichtmond" did not need 3D glasses to see 3D effect just crossed eyes. Cheers Diego
  21. Hello Maher, I have done 50 minutes of stereo animation in a musical project: www.lichtmond.com My workflow was to make the stereo render in EIAS with a Mac renderfarm, but I did 3D preview test in a PC with a small Nvidia card and the 3D vision shutter glasses from Nvidia. At the level of mastering all I can say is that is done in 23.967 fps in a separate stereo pair, but the mastering was done in Munich and I do not know the process. I currently do my BluRay testing disc with good quality in Toast 10 who can write BluRay format in standard DVD disc, you save the expensive BluRay recorders and BluRay Virgin discs. Im not shure but I think Toast will shortly also the option to record 3D Blu-ray format. Et voilá this is my experience producing a 3D BluRay, I recommend everyone to try to see a good movie in 3D with shutter glasses system is much better than the polarized glasses used in theaters now. Cheers Diego
  22. Hi Frank, Very nice simulation, I like Blender fluid simulations. Obj2Fact have the batch import option so you can do it just in one click, unfortunately is no longer for sale, but as Tom says "Lets see what will happen with EIAS 9". I use .Obj secuence very often, but I prefer to convert the .Obj sequence into a .mdd in Cinema4D before to import it in EIAS . Here is a video guide line I made: Cheers Diego
  23. Hi Michael, The integration with the background photo is really good. Thank you, very useful information. Cheers Diego
  24. Hi Michael, Nice Render very natural, All these trees are real geometry? how many polygons is the scene? Please can you share your renders time / GI settings)? Thanks Diego
  25. Ola Tom, Now works perfectly. Thank you very much! Cheers Diego
