  1. Hello, If you are Paralluminos tools owner, shoud be the best in EIAS. If not in C4d you have some ways to do that with CS tools for example, but you have to export an .obj sequence, via Riptide Pro. MDD will not works since you will have a variable polycount number. Cheers Diego
  2. Hi Scott, I have a 10 Pc's render farm, in three of these computers are SSD disk installed and I don't see any significant difference. This is only in render, I do not know if creating scene in Animator you will notice a difference, but in the render process almost anything. Thanks Diego
  3. Hi, For some time I tried to export motion vector from EIAS to AE without getting good results. Now using Motion Vector: Create. I can get motion vector from a 2d layer with good results. here some test results: http://vimeo.com/55466624 here is the trapcode tutorial: https://vimeo.com/52099566 Cheers Diego
  4. Hi, It is better to disable the Windows auto update feature in control panels to avoid Renderama crashes. You also can Stitch frames with QuickTime 7 "Open Image Squence". Cheers Diego
  5. Hola, Very nice tutorial, very helpful for motion capture editing inside EIAS. Thank you! Diego.
  6. Very interesting interview Tom, a good look at the EIAS origins. Congratulations :) Diego
  7. Hi Dave, Thank you very much for the scene sample for RenderPack, that help a lot. Cheers Diego
  8. Hi Vic, Work with this renderfarm is a pleasure, it is very simple and render like a rocket. Our average frame on Lichtmond 2 was like 12 min, many of them were 4 min and a few 30min. You have made the same calculation than me, in terms of productivity invest your money on PCs will run 3 times faster than if you invest in Mac. But it is true that I find it more friendly and flexible to create the scenes on Mac. In the screen shot you can see the 10 PC's slaves via TeamViewer on my oldest Mac, so you don't need keyboard or screen for the PC's, Very important to have a gigabyte network. I have a friend who has several hackintosh and he is very happy, here and we call "Pears" :) Un saludo! Diego
  9. Hi, I remember about Normality plugin for AE created by Stefan Minning http://www.3dcg.net/software/normality/ Here are some samples I made changing lighting in AE. Default EIAS render Normal map from EIAS Playing with lights in AE a really good way to create audio synchro effects. You can also change the light colors in AE. Diego
  10. That looks great!, it would be nice to have an EIAS 9 test project with the free sample EXR, so users can have an idea of the possibilities. Congratulations for the Renderpack web site, very good design. Thanks Diego
  11. Really well done Tom, In terms of quality and productivity EIAS is an application that is among the best, I join your prayers Scott to not stop growing and every day have a larger community with many new shaders and plugins in 64-bit :) Thanks Diego

Hi Vic, this render is really much better than the first one to me, :) Perhaps should bring up the intensity of the sunlight coming through the door, without actually burning but will give more realism. Also more intensity for the lamps of the roof, maybe a bit of glow should help here on the lamps. The plants need some specularity adjustments to shine a little, the leaves. Congrats for the good work! Cheers Diego
  13. Ola Tom, Thank you very much, for the "Sprites Planes" idea, i'll give it a try, the planes can be look at camera constrained. Thanks Diego
  14. Hi all, I am looking for a plasma effect, in EIAS 9. Something like the attached pict. Any advise will be very welcome. :) Cheers Diego
  15. Hi Kikems, We invested 13,000 € in 10 X i7 PCs mounted in a rack cabinet plus a gigabite network, the same money invested in Mac give it near to 3 times less productivity. My scene creation Macs are Nehalem and the last 12 cores. I agree with Tom and Alex about OSX is more friendly for EIAS, but for render productivity PC's are far a better choice to me. Thanks Diego

Ola Tom, I really like the light of the dining room image , the curtains and shadows are very realistic. Would be nice to know the lighting set up you used for this picture. I also curious about the curtain material. http://www.eias3d.co...10/09_13_v3.jpg Thanks Diego

Ola, Very interesting lighting and color mapping, have you applied the Texture Filter shader as camera Map? Thanks Diego
  18. Hi Vic, I am working and creating the scene on Mac, but all my render farm it is on PC's because the price, speed, and stability. Last year we did 60 minutes of stereo render HD and did not find peace until I switched to a PC render farm. much cheaper and faster, no crashes. But I don't have experience creating the scene on PC's I only use them for render. Cheers Diego
  19. Hello Steven, please, would be nice to know how many polygons on your project and what machine did the render. Nice and clean images, I miss a little bit of "occlusion" shadows. Happy new year, with many good renders!! Cheers Diego
  20. Yehpaa! Happy Holidays, this is the calm before the brain storm and the sweet hard work for next year! Cheers Diego
  21. Hello Mark, I am just working now with Daz Studio and EIAS9, I hope to find a workflow for textures and MDD files. I really want to include some characters in our new Disc. (2014). Nice to see you here Scott:) Thank you for your comment. Cheers Diego
  22. Hello Mark and Frankg, Thank you for the comments, here is an other song, the dancer it is made in C4D then baked and imported via MDD into EIAS9. http://vimeo.com/55268171# Hope you like it:) Cheers Diego
  23. Hello Igors, Thank you very much for the explanation, specular channel is what makes MForge so special so I will continue to use but without GI. I can apply something like an Occlusion pass and get same results. Merry Christmas. Cheers Diego
  24. Hi, I trying to use MForge in a project now that it is a 64bit shader. But all my cool settings looks really different if GI is activated. Attached a sample of what I am getting with the Colored metal sample doc. Please if anyone knows what parameters need to be change in order to get the same results, it looks that it is somethig with the specular parámeter. Thanks in advance. Diego
  25. I'm glad to see that there are still people who remember Alan Parson. I am a fan too :) Felix: I know that it can looks like pixelgrain but it is the new EIAS Bullet engine! Steven I hope to upload and other more song soon so you don't have to repeat all time the same:) Alex, the guitar player is an spanish player and yes David Gilmour was in his feeling. After these 14 months of work, the Hamburg Planetarium asked me to re render the whole disk in 4k hemispheric Planetarium format, and the Fraunhofer Institute (the mp3 developers) asked me a compilation of several songs in 8k for a new stereo theater system being developed , and I can assure you that EIAS is one of the few programs that can render at 8k + GI + SSS + Stereo, C4d is impossible would need a building full of computers. We have done with three Macs with a PC render farm, Just a rack with 10 x i7 computers this renders as a rocket! Thank you all for you nice comments. Cheers Diego
