  1. Hello to all, I wanted to show you our latest release on Blu-Ray 3D 7.1: Lichtmond 2 "Univers of Light" German music / Spanish visuals production EIAS V9, 50 min of animation!. EIAS is in the credits as main 3D aplication. The Bluray disc contains 10 song, One of the song is from Alan Parsons those who are as old as me, maybe they remember:) Yo can find some samples in: http://www.lichtmond.com/ I want to thank all the help received from the developers during this intense year of work. Especially Tomas Egger, who has been a constant help during the past 14 months. Here are two of the songs: Cheers Diego http://vimeo.com/54456614# http://vimeo.com/55268171#
  2. Hi Dan, I'm still on Snow here, I never tryed in Lion. Cheers Diego
  3. Hi, I can not use Dante since EIAS 8, I never got it to works in "Renderama" mode. I don't know if there plans to release a new version for EIAS 9, something like that would be wonderful because EIAS 8 currently has no particle system that works in a solid way. And about Path Finder I think I used a couple of times with V8 and works well. Cheers Diego
  4. Reduce polygons without losing uv's is something I've never seen, I have to try this Atangeo Balancer, excellent find. Thank you! Diego
  5. Hi Derryl. I used some Xfrog models with uv's through Object2Fact. If you just need to convert some models I can do it for you. I don't know how it works with Transporter. Cheers Diego
  6. Hi, I have some Pc's in my renderfarm that are built with a SSD as start-up disc, and I have not seen that there is a significant difference in render times. I got times like: 16min 22sec with normal HD 15min 55sec with SSD Depending on the kind of rendering you will notify more or less. I have exactly the same machine with and without SSD if you need some specific test I can do it for you. Cheers Diego
  7. Congratulations!!! Can't wait to test it.:) Cheers Diego
  8. Hi, In some cases I'm getting good scaling results by adjusting the Link Transform from Standard to Classic. Cheers Diego
  9. Hi, I really miss some sort of usable particles in EIAS, particles that can be rendered via Renderama. Nvidia Maximus is incredible and Naiad too, I hope soon to be addressed. Cheers Diego

Hi Mike, Very nice model, texturing and lighting, perhaps an extra occlusion pass may help you see better the details of the model. Looking foward next five models:) Cheers Diego
  11. Ola Tom, Nice forum, congrats. I'd like that the background was in a medium gray, that way eyes do not tire. It is this option individually customizable or must to be general for all? looking foward to the expected release:) Cheers Diego
  12. Merry Christmas for all this very special user community, Champagne for every body!!! We have been blessed with one of the most beautiful renderings of the market. Thank you!! Cheers Diego
  13. Hi Victor, impressive work, a lot of models, plants and people walking I guess the amount of work that represents, congratulations. gives a clear impression. Cheers Diego

  15. Hi Joe, The first stereoscopic images are from 1842 from that date essentially nothing has changed and seems that will not change in the future unless we grow a third eye or four:P No doubt in the coming years will be produced everything in stereoscopic 3D. Actually the visualization systems are still a bit primitive and sometimes cause dizziness and not very nice, but within a short time, 3D systems will be better and better. The good thing here is that your stereoscopic work may be adapted safely to future technological changes, just as now you can see daguerreotypes from 1842 in perfect quality with Shutter Glasses. So yes! absolutely a good idea to prepare your space animations to be viewed in stereo, please do it I want to see. I have seen very good work in 3D Shutter glasses, I assure you that have been hair-raising being surrounded by prehistoric sharks:) Cheers Diego

  17. Hi Mark, I see you've made very good progress, I'll take a look at Daz, so far I use PoserPro + Cinema4D to bring animated characters to EIAS, but I read that there is a Motion Capture plugin for Daz directly from Arena that is the software that I use for Motion Capture, so I have to test it. Please, can you try to use just one MDD instance for each part of your model? or please can you upload your model + MDD file to find a way to make it work? you are doing a very useful research thanks:) Cheers Diego
  18. Im doing many landscapes in recent times so I ask for... _Fog percentage control for any object. _Fog height control. _Animatable cloud noise for fog. Cheers Diego
  19. Hi Mark, Im happy that it working for you:) MDD plug has a "use Materials of child" check box, Object2Fact plug import very well uv's. I know what you mean, in C4D we use a "Connect Object" function before to convert it to PLA or MDD so body and clothes are baked in just one geometry with uv's intact. maybe you can look for something similar in DAZ4. Cheers Diego
  20. Hi Mark, I use the point shaded view mode each time that my model disappears when I link it to the MDDplugin, thus activating and deactivating the plugin you can see the differences between your geometry and MDD data. In your case I found two things: 1._Your model was 100 times larger than the MDD data. 2._ the second file (genesis) was not synchronized with MDD Data. Because you have to be in the FIRST frame of your animation when you export your .Obj in your animation program. Once you pick up the mechanics will find it incredibly easy, we bring models of 500,000 polygons with MDD and there is no problem. Gave the ability to export the MDD Data from EIAS could be a great way to bake dynamics animations. Diego
  21. Hi Mark, I just did a test with your files, A and B. There is a very good trick I was taught from The Igors set display to point or point shadded. This way you can see the MDD file even if in phong view you see nothing. In the example 1 and 2 you have to multiply by 0.01 your model when you import it. This also happens to me when importing from C4D. I was able to open your example # 1 without problems in EIAS just multiply by 0.01 in the importing process, but the example # 2 do not match such frames. because you export the model in the frame 2 instead of frame 0. Be careful when you export the MDD and the .Obj geometry you have to be in the FIRST frame of the animation, if not will not match to MDD EIAS Plugin. Hope this help. Cheers Diego
  22. Olé!, Thank you all, we are the 49ers EIAS team preparing to launch V9 high into the sky:) Hola Felix, paciencia la versión 9 está a la vuelta de la esquina!, gracias por tus felicitaciones. Hey Steven, very good idea I'll write to Disney to propose to build one of the those world in Disney World Park:) Alex, I don't know were you from in Germany but it is very possible that I goint to live to Hamburg some month, I'll do a work for the Hamburg Planetarium, I hope to see you. Thank you very much, very friendly family have EIAS. Cheers Diego
  23. Wow! homem! You are a crack! I just come back from the shop with two original chips of Ram. I've installed and now the computer is very slow with just 2GB but the problem it is solve!!! Olé. So it look like one of the 6 chip of 4GB Ram is faulty or maybe two or all, so now I have to do a lot of tests to find the damn chip. Finally the 2011 Mac pro work like the previous computer. Eureka!!!! Many headaches thinking was user error:dodgy: I have to say thank youuuuuuuuuuuu. TOM. Cheers Diego
  24. Hello Joe, Sorry I did not see this thread before. As Richard said you have to invert channels if you are testing the stereo separation and convergence with the Cross-eyed way. I have a little PC with a nvidia card + 3D vision Glasses Kit also from nvidia + Acer 3D monitor. On this way I can test convergence and stereo separation more precisely. I have some clients who ask me stereoscopic animations, generally everyone wants at some point in your scene put an object in -0 (objects flying off the screen into the room in which the viewer is). This you have to be careful because if the object touches the edges of the screen then produces a strange effect unpleasant. The bottom edge of the screen is that more tolerable -0 effect, after the one above, but the left and right edge is better not to touch with objects with a sharp -0 EFFECT or you stun people. Also if you want a meteorite hit the viewer over the head:P then you better make the object fade to transparent just before the object touch viewer head's, this avoid unpleasant visual effect. Is best to combine a few relaxed +0 stereo scenes (all objects inside the screen) and sometimes have a powerful -0 effect so 3D is nicer and people don't stress, the convergence point will determine if the object is in -0 or +0. You asked me how to compile the two channels to be seen with a shutter glases, on my case the 3D vision Glasses kit come with a realtime compiler viewer, so just load L and R channel separately and you see direclty. And for final master 3D TV I send the stereo pair to MSM in Munich and they do for me:), but be sure that next Toast version will come with a stereo compiler. I forget that you have to make your animation in 23,976 fps, if it is for 3D tv. I hope this help, please ask any thing more if you need. Cheers Diego
  25. Hi all, In December 2010 we bought a 12-cores Mac Pro, It is the fastest computer I ever had. In September 2011 we bought another 12-core Mac Pro, at Apple's Store told me that it is exactly the same machine as the previous one I bought in 2010 but with Lion system installed. Actually I can not use the 2011 Mac Pro because after making approximately 8 to 20 frames Camera give a memory error: Allocation size -2 ID 90. But if I open the same document on the 2010 Mac Pro or Octacores Mac Pro from previous years it render perfectly with no errors. I installed Snow Leopard on the 2011 Mac Pro, changed 64 bit Kernel to 32 and have made changes to Ram configuration, but none of this stuff seems to solve the problem. I tried with all versions of EIAS that I have and the problem is the same. I'm going crazy, the 2011 Mac Pro is even faster than the 2010 one. Apple tell that it is exactly the same machine but with Lion system installed from factory, then I install the Snow Leopard and the computer is still faster but giving the same errors. Please if anyone has purchased a 12 cores recently and can add some light on this issue. Also if anyone will buy a new 12 cores be careful about this issue. Thanks in advance Diego
