Yes I paid for my upgrade today, can't wait to see how much quicker multi-threading makes the snapshots. I used to have the EIAS 2.8 manuals that talked about multi-threading and I've been hoping this whole time it would happen!

I am a little concerned though, as I didn't get a confirmation email of my purchase or anything. I made the credit card payment via the Pay Pal link and that was it?!

Is there an email and an unlock code I should be looking out for?

You get a 2nd email after from them mine took about 2-3 hours

As for cutting edge stuff 2 big ones stand out for me 64 bit animator with a updated GUI ( don't need to change really just nicer looking like lightwave 9 vs 10 same gui just cleaner design though under the hood prob lots changed. And the 2nd is native sub-d (Opensubdiv) would be fantastic. Kind of odd that eias must be one of the last programs on earth to ship sub-d as a plugin.

I have faith though ask,

Thomas how many years now I have buged him about eias3D.

I'm sure 10 is going to get some much needed love.

My bet is softbody bullets and 64 bit animator though I really would love Opensubdiv but at lest animator laughs at high poly counts even as a 32bit app But I'm happy with 9 and will give it a better test drive when I can.

Oh can eias import ies lighting profiles if not that would be nice. Well I have a massive lists of wants Cus I'm greedy XD

Hey Joe!

Its always good to hear the wishes and don't worry, we pay a lot of attention in every new technlogy around us :)

Did you test EIAS 9.1 in Gouround mode, textures off with High poly counts? On my old Video card, its like 30 times faster :)

We are running here in the next changes :)

Thanks

Thanks for the encouragement. I started a university degree 1.5 years ago so haven't had much time for anything. Trying to pump out the work in-between semesters...talk about a glutton for punishment!

I've been building a model of a famous Frank Loyd Wright home since the middle of last year (not Falling Water), that I want to really push EI with. I've been taking my time with it and won't post anything until I've pushed myself to find new ground with my skills. I have a small catalogue of details I have collected on the home, including architectural plans, lead lighting, photographs etc that I hope to work on more this Christmas. See how I go!
