vgd Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Hi need to realize some ancient Roman houses animations with large landscape, with mountains, many many trees. The animations starts from man height to aerial view. I can't use 2 simple cross planes with tree texture and alpha, because from aerial view, the trees are no realistics and are very flat. I think to use Placer Deposit plugin but it cause a scene with many polygons and long time render with GI and Photons. Any alternative idea? Vue integration need for future upgrade... Quote
Tomas Egger Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Ola VGD, This is a trick done by Cristóbal Vila, the only problem, the tutorial is in Spanish, its a Visual Tutorial. take a look: http://www.etereaestudios.com/training_img/bosque100polys/bosque100polys.htm Thanks Tom Quote
joseph56 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Very cool article. You can use google translate and save the web page out. It translates 90 percent of it except for some of the images. Quote
Tomas Egger Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Ola Joseph, Cristóbal have excellent EIAS tutorials.. really visual. If VGD not use Camera extremely from the top, the trick will work perfectly with a amazing fast render. Thanks Tom Quote
RichardJoly Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 This is one of my favorite Cristóbal's tutorials. He is a master of his art and an excellent teacher and communicator. This little animation was made with his technique: http://www.rdnmultimedia.com/eias/RPC_Trees.mov Here is the collect to get you started: http://www.rdnmultimedia.com/eias/RPC_Trees_Collect.zip Quote
