  1. Update: I've just got this to work without the plugin in v9.1 but only on ubershapes, trying to find the problem....
  2. Hi Loon, I the problem is the same with the colorphium plugin, it seems to be the color blending is not working or vertex color is not being saved on fact export, or maybe being lost on import. Reuben
  3. Just an update Tomas, I've followed the tutorial video by Ian Waters and tried to get this to work using the colorphium plugin, its still not working with EIAS v9 or v7!! so unless i'm missing something really obvious.. But i noticed one thing from the video, the color blend checkbox! on Windows v7 the box is unchecked and grayed out and on v9 the checkbox is selected but also grayed out! On Ians Mac its working! Reuben
  4. Hi Tomas, I will try the whole process again, i'm sure i had the correct material setting but i will try again. Reuben
  5. Yes Tomas, i painted the object then convert to vertex color, it does display in the viewport but after saving the model the color is gone, maybe a problem with the importer? Reuben
  6. Hi Tomas, I just tried vertex painting in EI9.1, saved and reloaded the model but it still loses the vertex color :( I'm on Windows PC.
  7. Hi all, This isn't a thing that i used much but was very handy for use with reactive shading. I've just tried vertex painting a few models in amorphium and imported into EIAS, both models came in with the default gray polygon color, i even tried this with EIAS7 but still the same thing happens, it must be a really long time since i did this because only now i am seeing it not working. 8. Simply an answer to the lack of anti aliasing on the EIZ image, last time I checked EI doesn't do it- so that is kind of a manual solution, render it 4x larger and scale down.
  9. I use Planar z-depth quite a lot but usually for stills, I found that the lack of AA can cause a problem when used as a depth selection in PS, TIP: render out the EIZ file at 4x your target resolution then scale it back down in PS, the result is nice smooth edges. Sorry to go slightly off topic. Reuben
  10. Hi Maher, The uv's are contained within the model file (someone correct me if I'm wrong on this) and the .mat provides material attributes and groups info, both files are read when importing into EIAS. I haven't looked at Silo for quite a while but I believe there was an update for v2? I will try to investigate when time permits. Reuben
  11. Hi Tom, yes wiremaker is the newest on Pc and EI9.1 but was there ever a swage update? I'm still using the original first release.
  12. Hi all, Has anyone been able to use wiremaker with swage?, I've found that once I link the two plugins and turn on the internal profile in swage then it crashes EI every time, I also tried linking runline to wiremaker and then to swage but the same thing happens, any ideas? Thanks.
  13. I thought Colourphium was now redundant with v9 ?, anyway... I think reactive shading is a powerful and very cool feature and quite easy to use once you get to know it. maybe I can do a simple setup example.
  14. I don't have any SSD's but i would assume anywhere you see data I/O on the disc's you would see an improvement, for example- Opening scenes should be faster and maybe when animator reads HDRI's for example you could see better response times in the UI, also when camera is reading anything off the disk, especially if you go outside the allocated RAM for camera, once that happens your using virtual memory (HDD) and i'm pretty sure you would see an improvement there. But most of all, if you can afford it and are able to get all your digital assets and then some on the space i don't see any reason not to do this, might be worth looking at SSD failure rates VS HDD's though.
  15. Nice one. I'd heard that the Tripled shaders still worked on the mac, i looked through my old files trying to find the mac versions but nowhere to be seen... they but have been sold as mac or pc separate :dodgy:
  16. I think the price drop came when they went from CSI to Punchcad and Shark line came out, there was no upgrade path from concepts3d to shark, only option was a £70 upgrade to viacad pro 7, i'd rather have paid more and moved to shark. I just picked Silo 2 up off steam for £19.99, i'd had the first version for a long time but never got around to that upgrade, not really used v2 so far, but for that price it can sit here.
  17. Alex, i might have some materials to help you out.
  18. What ? there is a 64x Psunami ? :shy: Nice work btw
  19. Good work, yes what happened to Ian...
  20. EIAS no longer has anything to do with that company as far as i know, or were you suggesting a deal on EIAS ? :shy: Thanks for the tip BTW, i never upgraded from Silo 1x but always meant to. Now then, EIAS on steam, that would be interesting as steam provides copy protection too meaning no more dongle, could be the first pro-3d package on steam... , i love steam btw, steam is huge and going to get bigger, now on linux too. :shy:
  21. From the v9 Beta, tweeked in PS
