  1. Hi all, If you are experiencing display issues running EIAS under windows 7 or Vista then this can be fixed by the following - Navigate to EIAS_Animator.exe, r-click on the exe, now under compatibility select "run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP service pack 3" It may also help to disable desktop composition. Every time you run EIAS windows reverts to a basic theme and disables Aero, it will switch back once you close EIAS. You will probably find this helps with some other 3d apps too. Reuben
  2. I've never seen this problem before, what OS are you running ? Reuben
  3. i would aim for 1gb per thread but it works just fine on less, it also will depend on the size and complexity of your scenes as to what is needed, and remember you need to allow for animator and your OS BTW Are there even any dual CPU hex core systems around ?
  4. I would guess you would see visually the HT cameras rendering slightly slower, when multi-threaded camera 9 is released i doubt anyone will bother with that setup anymore :) Reuben
  5. Hi again everyone ! Does anyone know the status of the Sonica for EIAS, is it still in development ? this was one plugin i was really interested in, or in other words - audio driven animation - i know about the AE solution but i don't use AE so my hopes were with Sonica. Kind regards Reuben

    Thats great news Tomas !
  7. Just tested this with the latest v8 on windows XP64 - A Fractal Works fine but none of the aEdge shaders work, they don't render correctly and the previews are broke. Pitty because they are great shaders, does anyone know if tripleD are still active in development ?, guess i should drop them a line. Reuben
  8. Hi ! I guess this is on Mac ?, i seem to remember non of the A-edge shaders and maybe some others not working on v8 (PC) Reuben
  9. EIM, Concepts 3d and if i need sds then its usually Silo v1 ;)
  10. Ahh, the answer is you have to use the 86x runtime package NOT 64x even though its a 64bit OS.
  11. Hi everyone, I've copied this from the other forum- If you get the following error message when launching Animator/Camera/Rama under Windows, ‘configuration not correct- a re-install may work’ please install the current version of the Microsoft runtime libraries. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=en Thank You Ok i’ve only just got the v8 upgrade and i still have this problem on windows xp64x, after installing the 64x version of the runtime package i still get the same error. I also found that the older Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 package installs the filles to the wrong directory, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 is the one that must be used, but again this does not solve the problem on windows xp64. i am out of ideas here, EIAS v7 works fine but 8 won’t boot. Reuben
