barnabythebear
Hi all, After years of no development it seems that Silo has had a small update! Downloading and installing the trial version will update you to 2.3 http://nevercentre.com/silo/ Thanks, Nige.

Joe Purcell
Tom there a a guy on cg talk who is helping nevercenter. Maybe you could get in in contact with him and find the .fact issue and solve it. From what he has hinted at 2.3 is just a base clean up of code and 64 bit support with linux support too. With the plan to give new features with more updates. Maybe will will see a silo v3. But anyway this guy is talking and has silo sorce code so what are you waiting for hunt him down XD

S. Houtzager
The beta for FormZ, which is public to V7 users, now has subD surfaces. They did a good job implementing them with a lot of flexibility. I got into Silo for awhile but there is no need for me to go back now that FormZ will have them. Tomas Egger
Ola Steven! Btw: FormZ team will fix an old problem when exporting to Fact in the next FormZ build, they will remove a option which gives confusion and generate Bad .fact geometry. Im always in contact with FormZ team. Thanks Tom
thingmaker
Tomas, glad you have a good relation with FormZ. They have been making a lot of progress lately (maybe because of Rhino gaining popularity). Have had many problems with FormZ import over the years and they always say 'nothing has changed, talk to EIAS'. If you mean the option 'instant crash' Extended Coordinate Precision, yes it is gone in FZ8. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31924077/FormZ-Options.jpg -Derryl
Tomas Egger
Ola Derryl! Exactly, Im glad they just changed, “Extended Coordinate Precision†is obsolete (EIAS 2.9). Thanks Tom
