S. Houtzager Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 Trying out some different lighting arrangements. Added some spot lights for the dark areas (the gray screen up front and the first product case) and some lights just for the specular hilights. Looking for a simplified way of lighting but it will take awhile. Comments welcomed. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5048027/WW2_whitechairs.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5048027/WW2_1arealight_20.png Quote
RichardJoly Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 OK, hate me. Sorry, I didn't say why yet... Greying out the highlights does't work at all for me. Now hate me... Quote
fantomaz Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 I am with Rick, the first ones were much better than the rerenderd. I liked the effect of overexposed areas on the computertable and floor! Alex Quote
S. Houtzager Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Thanks, it gives me some ideas. Quote
S. Houtzager Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Did a redo with simplified lighting. What do you think? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5048027/WW2_2areas_final2.png 1 Quote
RichardJoly Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 I REALLY like this better. Seems more natural, untouched. Now, out there, we have some users with excellent techniques more able to give a constructive criticism that would benefit us all. Anyone? S. Houtzager Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 Maybe I will post over on CG Talk too. I added an area light to the front window as I was just using a parallel sun light. Quote
