Hi all

A project to test and play with the features of EI8.

The pictures at the walls are pictures made with EI6 to EI8.

All modeled with EIM, except the AC-COBRA, only some repairing

of parts of it were made with EIM. No Photoshop, one arealight, one

spot for the sign.

The original is 9500x4300 pixel and rendered 27 hours with 12 cameras.

Have fun

Heh heh, I like!

Some photon errors there though? In the corners of the wall...

I wonder what is causing that...

Ian

Yupp, me too...

Because of the horrible rendertimes i gave up on investigating that errors.

I am surprised at the long render time. Even with the very high resolution.

Can you post the project somewhere so we can take a look?

If you don't have a place to post, let me know.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Alex, Ian, All

Some photon errors there though? In the corners of the wall...

One of possible reasons is that corners are made with intersected surfaces (like several crossed planes or cubes). If so - yes, photon maps fail in such places (we need a new feature in EI9 to solve this)

Hey , its nice that so many answers are made here :-)

Some stats:

• 7.6 million polygon

• 9500x4300 pixel resolution

• everything is set to raytrace (reflections and transparency)

• GI options: 350 primary rays

• GI Sampling 2x2

• one area light (outside the room over the roof)

Its too big to put the project online, i will do further tests when there is

more time.

Ola Fan“Tomas”,

Please, post print screens from the windows settings, we can guide you only looking this.

- GI window

- Are Light (Shadows tab, Area Light tab and Photons tab)

And the render time you are seeing now.

Thanksss

Tom
