spleeve Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Hi, I updated to V8 when the old EI had their offer. Since then I have had my main hard drive go down and had to reload everything. Now my authorization code will not activate Animator. Can you help? Thanks, Michael. Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Ola Michael, Please, go to your EIAS 8 folder / EI Resources Folder / And delete your dongle data file, appears like EIASKeyXXXX, XXXX will be your dongle number. Try to use your authorization code again. Thanks Tom Quote

spleeve Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 Ola Mike, Are running on a Mac Intel or a PPC? EIAS 8 only runs on MacIntel Machines and Windows boxes. Which OSX? Thanks Tom I am on an Mac, Intel 8 core running 10.6.4 Until my hard drive went tits up it was running fine - but I do remember that Phillip had to send me a new code when I first got and installed V8. Unfortunately that email went into the wild, blue digital yonder with the crash. This is also a bit urgent because I have a deadline involving several renders in a short time. Michael. Michael. Quote

Paul P Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Ola Mike, Are running on a Mac Intel or a PPC? EIAS 8 only runs on MacIntel Machines and Windows boxes. Which OSX? Thanks Tom Tomas, my copy of EIAS 8 is a universal binary and runs fine on my G5 tower. I was surprised when I read your comment that it is Intel only. Sorry to hijack the thread. Thanks Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Ola Paul, This is the info I received from Matt, I will need to re-check. Thanks Tom Quote

This is a little vague. What is the definition of recent ? I'm running Leopard 10.5.8, so that one is ok. What about Tiger ? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Ola Paul, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Snow_Leopard Only Snow don't support G5 any more. I will take a look in my studio, we have a G5 there. Thanks Tom Quote
Tomas Egger Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Ola Paul P, Only to let you know, I have a G5 which I installed EIAS 8 with OSX 10.5.8, worked really fine. But its not the same when you have a Mac Intel, :) Thanks Tom Quote
