gyroo
Did this in V8, for a (low budget!) short film. Added the rat to previously filmed footage of the actors. http://web.me.com/dave.woolard/rat/rat.html Cheers Dave
Mark Johnston
HI Dave , Thats a fun one , Loved it. Any info on how you did it ? Great ! Mark
Buggsy
Hey that's really good. :) I slowed down each frame to check out the rat and the little guy is looking around and jumping in time with the ladies jerking motion. Nice work. Michael
Tomas Egger
Ola Dave!!! Really well done, Animation, render and composting. Thanks Tom
RichardJoly
Very well done Dave! Excellent integration to the live action plate. My wife was there when I looked at it and she said why is that moron standing there without helping her? I told her it's an animation. She was impressed. GeordieJames
very well done - that happened to me in reality not so long ago !
gyroo
Thanks guys. No real trick to it, just sheer bloody mindedness in tweaking and adjusting over and over again (could still do with more). Very ordinary rig - bones and attached skin. The only unusual thing was doing the tail as a separate object using cablecraft and contortionist to distort it with an animated spline. Same technique I used for my earlier snake (posted this link before on CGTalk, but not here): http://web.me.com/dave.woolard/recent_ads/viper_%28small%29.html To GeordieJames - urgh! FelixCat
Hi, DaveW Very nice job, the rat moves as the rats do and the render and traking of the rat with the woman is perfect (i think the shadow of the rat is a bit off compared with the lady´s). I remember your snake work, great too! Congrats, is nice to see EiAS in the real work. FelixCat
