  3. Thanks!! Felix, what do you mean by animating the face using the MDD plugin?. I though that plug in was for importing animation data from other programs. Am I right?. Was is that plug in for? I was planning on animating it using the old morph targets method. It worked well for me on my last short.

  5. Hi, I'm working on a new short film about a little vampire, and these is the face of the guy!!!. I have to fix some issues with the model and it's not textured yet, but I wanted to share it with you. By the way, I would like to add three hairs, ala Homer Simpson. Any suggestions??? I'm also struggling with simcloth to get the cloak/cape of the vampire. If anyone could help me to get the settings right I'd appreciate it very much, Thanks!!! Rutiger2.mov
  6. I love it!!!! So cool. I always loved these B-movies science fiction from the 50s. BTW, that shot of hair/fur growing is done with EIAS?. If so, may I ask how? Good luck!!!!
  7. One thing about simcloth that would be cool is the ability to manipulate wind forces. That would be so great, in adition to create realistic clothing, we then would have the ability to create artistic clothing.

    [Thanks for the answer. My main problem is that if I export to FACT format from SILO, I get nothing in EIAS. It doesn't matter if I refine control mesh, or if I triangulate. Always nothing. What I do most of the time is export to obj., or 3ds, and then import those models to EIAS. The problem is that if I do that, I don't get the option to toggle on the Use UV space mark. What I'm missing? By the Way, Felixcat, if you want to answer me in spanish, I think we can undesstand better each other, I think we come from the same place. Thanks!!!!

    hi tom, i'm Carlos, apu is my nickname bere in the forums. Well. I think i know how to unwrap in silo(i guess couse i haven't been able to finish all the process), i can get an image with my model unwrapped so i can ( guess again) paint the textures in Photoshop. Ok. Till that point, i yhink i got it, but from there? I don't know how to continúe ny the way, sorry for the absence, i'm quitrín my Job so i can focus on my studio, and i've been very busy!!
  12. Hi, I'm trying to know how to use UVs for texturing, but I've no idea. I'm using Silo for modelling, and I've done some tutorials on UV unwrapping. But from there I've no idea on how to continue. Is there any tutorial or anybody knows the working method on this issue, couse I'm really lost Thank you
  13. Well, I don't think it's a modellyng type feature, it's a animator based feature, you create bones and skeletons in animator, don't you?

It would be nice to be able to build one half of a skeleton and being able to mirror it along the Y axis, so you don't have to build the skeleton for the other part of the body, like building the skeleton for the right arm, and mirroring it so it automatically creates the skeleton for the left arm. Thanks!!!
  15. Hi Tom. It's weird, I open the project you send me, and it doesn't do the same thing as the preview you sent me. A message appears saying that it could not prevent intersections, and the "arms" of my puppet are coming out thru the cloak. I don't know..... Thanks anyway, but I'm a little sad, is so important to get this clothing test right, if I don't get it I'm not gonna be able to tell the story I want.....:-(
  16. Hi, I'm planning to make a short film with a little vampire as the main character. The cloak of the vampire is important, I want it to have a "realistic" style. I've been trying to play a little with simcloth, trying different settings, but I can't get good results. I just made a really simple test, with balls and cylinders as bodyparts and a simple cloak in the project attached. If someone could help me to get the settings right so I can get an idea of how to continue from that point I'd be very grateful. Thanks Carlos CAPON.zip
