  1. Have you switched the architecture inside Camera to 64bit? Alex
  2. Bernd, i am with you in all parts! Alex
  3. Nice one :shy:
  4. V2.8...... memories..... :) Mickael, yes, please look for PPP tutorials, thanks in advance. Alex
  5. Hey! Thanks all! Great to have that forum here!! Alex
  6. Hey Joseph, thanks for these two! Are there more? Alex
  7. Cool, thanks Tom!
  8. Hi all, did someone out there save the PPP tutorials from the dust of the internet? Unfortunately i lost them somehow and cant remember where i saved them for reference. I am on the latest version that was available when Mike closed his shop. When someone can sent me a link where to dl them, i would be very happy! Thanks all Alex
  9. So, now here it is in „live action†at the Hannover fair industry, a week ago: Also some specs: • 3m x 3m at nearly 12k x 12k pixel • Over 25 million polys (due to the CAD model of the windmill - have to be reduced in next version) • Rendertime was 1 hour • Setup of project was 5 days because of modeling the craneship, transformatorship and distributorship and converting the windmill from CATIA to EI (plus some (!...!) hours of learning lots about water, wind and so on....) And finally a fun film as an add-on (to show customer what we can do next..... ) Alex
  10. Some specs: GI 42 lights -> with rays 22million polys Bullet (driving car and parachute) Around 7 minutes/frame - rendering at 1024*576
  11. During the beta phase of EI9 i had a little fun project to test lots of polys with 64bit and Camera. Using a CAD model of a VW Passat i did some funny renderings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63Mi-0Wcq88 Have fun! Alex
  12. Tom, yes (you are allowed) and yes it was Psunami and yes i used the 64bit version! Alex
  13. I did it an other way: Building the young man in DAZ, downloaded the free motion file "Gagnam Style", reset the bones from Gagnam Style as in the tutorial described and tried to match the young man with that set of bones. Imported the Gagnam Style motion again and voila :shy: To be exact, you have to perfect match the geometry of that two files, no big thing, but in 15 minutes..... not to mention: it was my first try with this kind of animation. I am happy with it and can tell everyone try it for yourself. Its not only fun (it is of course!), you can learn a lot with it. Alex
  14. Hi all! For a graphic wall a customer ask me to render a picture of his windmills for the Hannover Fair Industrie next week. The picture is 3m x 3m and 10k pixel: Render time is around 60 minutes with more than 25 million pixel (the windmill its a CAD file from customer) i did not have the time to reduce the amount of polygons, so EI had a hard job! But finished with no (or only little stress....). Alex
  15. Its easy, because the bones do not perfect match with the geometry. I built the young man in DAZ an get the gagnam style motion from Mixamo for free. To match these two `models` you have to exact line up the geometry to the bones, but my goal was to play - not exact to match, so.... Alex
  16. Was so much fun :D 15 minutes „work†and 20 minutes rendering: Yeah, Gagnam Style.... Alex
  17. I looked at it and what can one say? Breathtaking cool!!! Now i need only time to play with it....
  18. TripleDTools PowerParticlePro is working on EI9, but only with local Camera, Rama gets confused somehow (32bit only) Psunami from Northernlights is also working with EI9. (Blair will transport the plugs to 64bit)
  19. Thanks :shy: Yes, i will play with the light, its only one spot and a bit of skylight from GI, a bit too dark overall - but a nice mood. The watch is a STOWA Antea with a dial designed by myself. I hope to finish the dial in the real world some day, but its tricky, real tricky, i can tell! The watch holder is ready in real world, i built him for a test yesterday. The leather strap in 3D is also tricky, i never did anything in leather so close to camera, i have to learn a lot! Alex
  20. Hi all, eastern was a little boring, so i played wit EI: (working on the leather strap right now) Alex
  21. Hi all, i tweaked a lot with the y and x range values and send customer some pictures. Finally one was good he answerd :shy: I will show the picture next days, when customer gives his ok. Some specs: Rendering: 17.000 x 17.000 Pixel Polygone: 25 Million Psunami Motion blur (vector) Rendertime: Octo 2,4MHz with 16GB Ram -> 60 minutes Quad 2,66 MHz with 8GB Ram -> i stopped because of super heavy HD action (sounds awful) never finished building BSP..... I liked it :) Alex
  22. Hello all, i am rendering some outdoor pictures and i am in the need of a cloudy sky. So i used a HDR with a hemisphere to get that sky. So far, so good. But the original sky HDR is too overexposed, so i played with the clamping and remaping sliders. Now the sky/clouds looks good, but overall the sky is too dark. Is there a way to get a more brightly sky without loosing the details and without overexpose the sky/clouds? Here are the two versions so far: This is too overexposed This has the right details, but its too dark: Can anyone tell me a way to get the detail level of the second picture and the brightness of the first? Thanks for looking Alex
  23. Boah! Nice find Tom!! Thanks a lot (unfortunately at this moment no time to play). The Hotel atrium is awesome, imagine a bunch of murmurs are going down the stairways, or a hundred footballs... of course powered by bullet :shy: Alex
