fantomaz
Hi all :-)a customer sent me an '.easm' file from Solidworks. So far so good, i can view the file with the eDrawings Viewer from SW but cantdo anything with that file :-(The customer had to check the box „Export for STL enabled”, but he didn't and dontwant to - too bad.So i have two options:1.) Find someone who can open the file (i guess you can open that '.easm' file in SW!) and convert it for me :-)2.) I remodel that whole thing to get a working polygonal file to use in EI :-( I prefer the first option :-) Is there anybody out there? S. Houtzager
Hey Alex,I import SW files all of the time using Rhino. Send it to me and I will try. I say try because .asm stands for assembly file. It needs the parts files as well. Steven Houtzager
fantomaz
Hi Steve, unfortunately its not the .asm file, its the .easm file....easm stands for exchange and view without having SW installed, you need only the eDrawingsViewerfrom Dassault for that (free of course). But lets give it a try, my Rhino don't want to open that .easm (because ist the beta), maybeyou have the full version and that will open it? I sent it to you via mail. AlexEdit: That damn autocorrecting drives me crazy! Steve = StevenI have to learn that!
