Converting an '.easm' file from Solidworks

Hi all :-)

a customer sent me an '.easm' file from Solidworks.

So far so good, i can view the file with the eDrawings Viewer from SW but cant

do anything with that file :-(

The customer had to check the box „Export for STL enabled”, but he didn't and dont

want to - too bad.

So i have two options:

1.) Find someone who can open the file (i guess you can open that '.easm' file in SW!) and convert it for me :-)

2.) I remodel that whole thing to get a working polygonal file to use in EI :-(

I prefer the first option :-) Is there anybody out there?

Greetings

Alex

Hi Steve,

unfortunately its not the .asm file, its the .easm file...

.easm stands for exchange and view without having SW installed, you need only the eDrawingsViewer

from Dassault for that (free of course).

But lets give it a try, my Rhino don't want to open that .easm (because ist the beta), maybe

you have the full version and that will open it? I sent it to you via mail.

Edit: That damn autocorrecting drives me crazy! Steve = Steven

I have to learn that!

Oh tempora, oh mores!

Customer was so kind to send me a STEP file - everything will be fine.

I will post results in the next coming month. Its an amazing project,

together with a watch forum we will built a new watch and i am the

designer who make the design and visualizations.
