fantomaz Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 Hello all, i am rendering some outdoor pictures and i am in the need of a cloudy sky. So i used a HDR with a hemisphere to get that sky. So far, so good. But the original sky HDR is too overexposed, so i played with the clamping and remaping sliders. Now the sky/clouds looks good, but overall the sky is too dark. Is there a way to get a more brightly sky without loosing the details and without overexpose the sky/clouds? Here are the two versions so far: This is too overexposed This has the right details, but its too dark: Can anyone tell me a way to get the detail level of the second picture and the brightness of the first? Thanks for looking Alex Quote
S. Houtzager Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 What is the bit level of the sky file? If it is 32 bit then it has more range. Quote
