Camera doesn't render for me...

It's been a while since I upgraded to EIAS 8.0.0, but after opening and importing a shape (tried sevearl kinds), anytime I select an image, or portion of to render, the camera/renderer does nothing.

It acts as if the two (EI and Camera) are not seeing each other?

Am I that old? It used to be just that easy. Thanks.

Camera memory set very low (500 MB-1000 MB)

Mac OSX 10.6.4

3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Ola Bakedmedia,

1) Are running any Anti-virus system on your Mac?

2) Take a look if you have some privilege problem in your Applications folder

3) Did you rename Camera application?

4) You can‘t have EIAS 8 Folder renamed with special characters like “/”, because of the UNIX system.

This is the EIAS 8 folder Hierarchy:

Thanks

Hey guys,

"no" to question 1,3, and 4... and have not needed network rendering before, but could have messed with it at some point. Is that an EI pref?

I've checked the privlages (animator and camera) and they both were odd... reset them to myself as owner/read/write.

Tried to render again and the camera loaded and started but then popped up an error. Trying a restart now and will report back the error if the restart does not fix.

Thanks... getting there!

Camera error after restart:

Works!... It was a permission issue I somehow got screwed up... I set permission "to all enclosed items" in the EIAS 8.0.0 and it rendered just like new. Thanks guys!!!

Saved my butt again.
