Mark Johnston Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 HI for the last 4 weeks I've been trying to model and uv a cartoon type person in silo , which is still being worked on , but before that I was fooling around with deformers and lights and I also wanted to check out iweb a little more so I updated my page with movies 6, 7 and 8 . Not anything great , just an effort to communicate. http://web.me.com/markjohnston99me/markseiasmovies/Movie.html Mark Quote
RichardJoly Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Keep it up Mark! It's always fun to do little tests like that. We learn a lot from it. Keep us posted with your cartoon character! Quote

Mark Johnston Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 Hi Richard and Tomas Thanks for encouragement . I am going to do my best to try and learn this program inside and out. I have all kinds of tutorials to help, but I feel a lot when doing some tutorials all you learn is to follow steps not to understand what's going on . So doing tests is the way to learn more. I spend a couple of days going through each deformer doing tests. Then for a couple of days I went through each shader doing tests. Then I rendered out a snap shot of every material on three objects a ( sphere cube torus ) at once so I made a library I can look at in adobe bridge to see what they look like when I need a material. Then I did tests with each kind of light. Then I started to make the model I'm working on cause I decided modeling and UV mapping are weak areas for me , where I need work. Mark an overview shot of My renders of materials Quote
