Chile was hit by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake last Saturday morning, at a strength 500 times that of the January earthquake in Haiti.

Our friend FelixCat lives in Santiago but we received news today that he and his family are all well.

Let us hope the population receive the relief they need and we extend our sympathy and condolences to those who have been affected by this tragedy.

Thanks a lot, my friends. Family OK. For the country this has been a big disaster, but we will recover. As allways.

BTW, everything is moving a bit again... lots of aftershock everyday.

Hi, friends, thanks a lot for your kind words. Hopefuly my family and me lives in the capital city that is extremely well build, we are, sort of, used to this hearthquakes and the construction rules are very hard. The building where I live is so strong that I can´t made holes in the walls to put a poster on it. Obviously, some buildings are not build under the rules and they fall apart, but was minimum. The catastriphic angle lays in the absolut lazines of our gobernment to make whatever it takes to take care of the problem... well, another aftershock, if you excuse me...
