  1. Ok, I did it twice. The tutuorial is made on the Mac, but i used this technique for my students on a Win 7 box. It should work. regards Frankg
  2. Yes, but it should be no problem because blender looks and behaves the same on Mac or Windows. regards Frankg
  3. Hi Tomas, I think so. My original file contains even a little introduction to blender in general. The part to make the fluids and bring them into EIAS should be about half an hour. regards Frankg
  4. I've done a video tutorial a time ago how to get blender fluids into Cinema4D. It works also really good with EIAS. Much better render of course:) regards Frankg
  5. Hi Scott, I have a MacBook Pro i7 with 10.6.7. EIAS runs great. Frankg
  6. what's about Ikarus? It's free and seems to work very well. Frankg
  7. HI Ton, place them into the EI-Sockets-folder inside the EIAS-application-folder. Restart EIAS and they should be in the Plug-ins menu. Good luck Regards Frankg
  8. Wow, industrial-design seems to be the main profession of EIAS-users :) I came to animation by sheer chance. I've never had a real passion for it. My passion are cars, airplanes and boats. I'm doing actually two private projects. 1. an airplane 2. a carbody I hope I can post them later this year. They will be modeled in solidthinking and rendered in EIAS. Frankg
  9. Ok, I see I have to do a lot more efforts with EIAS :) My first version was 2.9. I bought it together with a G3 Mac. The G3 was the gimmick. Paul Sherstobitoff's phantastic work was the reason for me to decide for EIAS. I studied Industrial-Design and struggled with Strata Studio Pro and Cinema4D for getting the right look. We had Alias Designer at the University, but this one was way too expensive for me to buy. EIAS was a very good deal in those times because it included a production-ready modeler too. A little Alias for poor students:) I thought if Paul can do such a high professional work it's only me and my lazyness, not the program. Man, I hated him in the first weeks of working with EIAS:) To earn money for my studies I startet to teach 3D. Unfortunately nobody used EIAS in Germany. Mostly 3D Studio Max and Strata, so decided for Strata because it run under MacOS, which I prefer. Later I switched to C4D, which I always teach twice a year. But you can be sure all my students know EIAS now:) Most of my High-End samples which I'm showing are EIAS-samples. They simply can't believe that nobody knows about EIAS here. Even the price is very welcome. I would really like to do some seminars with EIAS. Who knows, next year we will become an officially recognized art college. I hope we can do al least some projects with EIAS. Finally I have the feel that EIAS is in the right hands of people who knows what a jewel they hold in their hands. Best regards Frankg

Hi, I started this project on christmas. I wanted to do more with VIACad than simply converting into fact. this was the reason to model a starship, a little inspired by the original Startrek TV series :D Very few time, but here it is: Startrek gallery Enjoy :) Best regards Frankg
  12. Hm… Couldn't he do this for EIAS too  It's great. Frankg
  13. Hi Richard, thank you, I know. I should say: „I will not delete themâ€, since they are not included in V8. It's a strange situation because at least one of the new features; parametric surfaces; uses Xpressionist. Hmm. I hope there will be a much better communication between Jens and Tomas as it was between Jens and Brad. I can't imagine that there will be no solution. Frankg
  14. Hello Tomas, I'll store them well. I'm very patient :) regards Frankg
  15. Now as the transistion is over do we have a chance to know what will happen with these wonderful tools? Will they be officially available again or do we have to store it for ever from our Version 7  Please feed us with good news :D regards Frankg
  16. I know there was a multi-caustics-plugin by the Igors. But the store closed and it's lost now. Could you please bring it back? It very helpful for gemstone-renders. Regards Frankg
  17. Thank you Tomas, I have a lot of these designs. Normally I don't do presentation-ready renders, because they are for in-house use only. But I will do more of them to show here. regards Frankg
  18. Hi all, I just want to show you a jewelry-render I made in EIAS 8.0. I hope you enjoy it. regards Frankg
  19. Thank you Tomas - I'll have a look. Frank
  20. Hi, just an idea: ist there a possibility to get C4D particles animated into EIAS? I'm asking because I find the EIAS particle-system very basic compared to Cinemas, but for some reason I like EIAS-renderings more and I try to avoid using C4D the whole project. I owe C4D 11.5 and EIAS 8 Any idea? Maybe another good particle solution for EIAS? Regards Frankg
  21. Hi Ross, you're absolutely right about copy protection. But perhaps there is another as secure option like adobe's online registration procedure? And I will try your lanyard-idea. Regards Frankg
  22. Hello, happy seeing Animator in the hands of practically proven people I would like to see a dongle-free version ;-) I use EI with my laptop and always fear to lose this f*beep*ing dongle. I would be very happy to the multicaustics shader again. Would you please make ist available again? I use it for my jewelry designs. regards from Bavaria Frankg
  23. Hi David, I use solidthinking (altair) as my main modeler-application, because I need production (constructive) quality. I also use ViaCAD Pro for converting the soldthinking models (STEP) into native FACT, which works like a charm. I owe EIM, but use it very rarely - only for special tasks. I know the C4D modeler inside out, because I'm teaching C4D, but never use ist for my own projects. Good and easy to use, but poor output-quality. regards Frankg
