  1. Thank you. You're right Polytrans will do the job. I hoped there is a freeware utility for that. It's a lowest budget project. regards Frankg
  2. Hi all, do you know any solution for converting about 4.000 3ds-files to dwg? Best regards Frankg
  3. I use ViaCAD/Shark for fact-export. It works fine. As it read Rhino-files and can repair them automatically it's my first choice to get rhino-models into EIAS. Another good solution, but a bit pricy is solidthinking evolve. It has an adaptive tessellation-tool which allows you to decide how much polygons you get at a particular part of your model. regards Frankg
  4. Arbaro is great. I used it in many situations. It's Java-based and working well on several platforms. regards Frankg
  5. Great Work, Diego! I enjoyed it much. Thank you for sharing. Frankg
  6. Hi Tomas, many thanks for the manual. I hope it works. If not, I will cry:) regards Frankg
  7. Hi all, I' m using Triple D's Power Particles Pro for a project. I want some letters flying against my camera position, which works fine. All letters have different colors. To get this I use one PPP group for each letter. I have 4 PPP groups in the scene. They run fine, but slow down render-times. Unfortunately I have no manual for PPP, does anyone have? I need only one frame in print-resolution from the entire animation. My plan was to set up the animation, looking for the best frame and render this single frame at high resolution with transparency, motion blur, etc. Is this possible or must I render the whole animation in high res? Best regards Frankg
  8. Hi Tomas, the simple projects do not crash :D Only the real live one's do. Regards Frankg
  9. Hi all, I did a short test with the new caustics. They look very good. But I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong with some constellations: 1.) Using more than one light producing caustics crash camera. 2.) Using many objects producing caustics crash camera too. Best regards Frankg
  10. The feature list is impressive. The new video is awesome! Thanks a lot for taking time to make a good release :) regards Frankg
  11. Thank you for your warm words Richard.
  12. MiMA Logo Animation This logo was created for the Munich Institute of Media and Musical Arts, MIMA. The MIMA is a new art school in Munich with a radically new concept. Writing, Pop-Music and MediaArts are the first programs of study which start in 2013. The logo is not designed as a 2D graphic like a common Print-Logo, but from the beginning as a moving transparent 3D-Form. This represents one aspect of the MIMA, MediaArts. The colors are unique, no base colors, to show and point out the extraordinartity of the MIMA concept. Mixed together they build a perfect grey-tone which represents the balance of the different studies and influences which form the MIMA. The transparency and moving poinit of view creates constantly new forms and colors by layering the characters. This represents the possibilities in a study which is open in every aspect and can be mixed at any stage. I decided to create a logo which is open in the way of animation and graphical representation. The effect of the layered typo and the typo itself are the only fixed parts of the Logo. Even radically different solutions are possible and highly recommended. http://mima-university.de
  13. Hi Tomas, obviously you're addicted to EIAS:) I'm not in a hurry. Making things good costs a lot of time. Thank you for all your work and patience. Regards Frankg
  14. Great! Thank you for sharing. BTW: Did I really spent about 7000$ for 2,75? I must eliminated this fact from my mind :)

  20. It "flies" more or less through the scene. The products were used in an educational video. They should show which product to use in what situation. They fly in the scene become bigger, stand there for some seconds and disappear again. In all there is no real reference between the video and the product. It should look like the real product in a fictive real environment.
