Greeting Everyone. I've been away for years, but the Pandemic moves in funny ways. Working with very large images again. Never run into this though. Renderama and Frame Strips. The Stitching is not in order. I've just rebuilt the slave folders. Restarted the computer. Thanks, Yon

Hi, everyone. I posted this in succession. My clients are always trying out their designs until the very last minute, so the data must always be fast enough to render. Therefore, speed is more important than a perfectly photorealistic image. For this kind of work, EIAS's fast and very beautiful rendering is the best weapon! However, I also need to be able to use the latest EIAS technology correctly.

Ola Akai! A simple test with Photons.. using the Geometry which represent the Lights as "Light Objects" using Photons. (I have only 2 lights in the scene). The shadows, light, reflections are more realistic, Thanks Tom

Ola Tom, Great to exchange words again. I imagine the Igors are still going strong? Fingers crossed. Can you set me straight on work flow for v9.1, and OS X Sierra. I should use one slave, and the camera should get all the memory and all the threads. So it's just a way to put things in a rendering cue for the moment? I've been with Electric image since '91. Hi again, everyone. This time I posted a image using GI. (Reverse illumination & Sky light) I had a little more time than usual for this job. I usually had to manually place fake lights for reverse illumination, but this time the input process was very easy. The render time was a little longer than usual, but still so fast. The layer thing was to see if it was broken in that format too. With one camera it has worked great. One is the only way I've rendered for years... but now, the rendering times were getting huge, due to the desire for 3D plants. I was checking to see if this would reduce the time. Thank you for your time, speaking of it.

Ah, ok, i didnt renderd to layers, i have that issue years ago with normal rendering, no layers. Did you try to render with only one camera?

Hi Fantomas, Yes, 8 slaves. Version 9.1 I am narrowing it down to the project... unfortunately. Older projects render and stitch correctly with the current slaves. And it appears for this project, the photoshop 'layers' stitch together correctly. Still trying to get a handle on what I broke :) -Yon

Do you render to several slaves? What version of EI?

Thanks Akai, EIAS has some very useful tools and there is a life form in Australia and Asia as well. ......Waiting Tomas!! :-) Camera matching is a tool that, for Arch Viz, and that seems to be your direction, that EIAS has, and stands apart from recent apps. I use other apps for rendering now/mostly but I always use EIAS for setting up a virtual camera to match a physical camera. Still baffles me why other GPU based Arch Viz apps cannot include an Alpha chanel, a diffuse and a focal length but still want to charge excess Euros for an upgrade! LOL Keep posting the great work and I look forward to more posts! Render Fast. Retire Young!

Hi Akai, Very nice image. Is this the image straight from EIAS or is there some post process? Reason I ask is the light bulb flares. Curious how that was done if in EIAS. I also find EIAS a bit lacking with metallic materials, it'd be nice if the displacement map had some affect on the reflection. Once again though, really nice image. Thanks for sharing. Ola my friend! Yes, it is! Sure, GI + Photons + Reverse Illumination will be slower.. but can produce even more realistic results :) If you want, collect this scene project and send me.. as soon I will have a minute, I can try to play with it :) Cool you are having fun with EI :) Thanks Tom
