hillsville Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Hi,I use EIAS 9.1 and FormZ for modeling.I'm trying to render out a wireframe image -- and camera crashes. What am I missing? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Ola!please, collect a simple project and zip the file.upload here or send in my email, I guess the FormZ export have some issue, since Camera is not supposed to crash in wireframe mode.thankstom Quote
Tomas Egger Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 Ola,Just rendered a wireframe here.. everything fine, my guess, a bad geometry exported from FormZ.ThanksTom Quote
hillsville Posted November 5, 2015 Author Report Posted November 5, 2015 ...what software do you create your models? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 Ola Gabe!Several, Silo, FormZ, EIM..You need to test a few export options in FormZ and see if its one which is exporting a bad geometry version, it works fine with Phong render?Did you try in the Animator Menu bar / Object / Export Object / Validated FACT? it will export and re-import automatically your model to fix bad geometry, don't forget to change the Calculate Pop-up to Always, it will fix your normals.ThanksTom Quote
hillsville Posted November 7, 2015 Author Report Posted November 7, 2015 Hi,Thanks for the insight. I tried it on a FormZ fact export and FormZ .dxf export. See dialogue box for both? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted November 7, 2015 Report Posted November 7, 2015 Ola Gabe! You need to chose only Validated FACT.second, try to find which options in the FormZ Fact export are making the bad geometry.thankstom Quote
hillsville Posted November 8, 2015 Author Report Posted November 8, 2015 Hi,I did get it to work -- thank you. I also retried it on the .dxf file -- and for the first time I was able to have an object follow a .dxf bath from FormZ. However the object was deformed at different points along the path? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 Ola Gabe!could you post here what you are talking about?thankstom Quote
