Phungus
Haven´t touched EIAS in ages....but I was messing around with the Mesh Fusion in Modo and did a couple of tests using the EIAS logo. Decided I would put a couple of them here just for fun. Not to pleased with the soft edge on the cube variant so I´ll probably tighten up those edges a bit.....bit of a hassle to get clean geometry through into EIAS, had to do some clean up to make it work. Phungus
Thanks! I'll try take things a bit further when I have done some small adjustments/corrections to the geometry......
S. Houtzager
Would you be interested in giving EIAS a little promotion? Could you post the fact file of the blocked logo and let people test render it out. It would be kinda fun!
Phungus
Sure, I could do that. I'll have a look into tightening the edges and possibly lower the poly count before I post it.
Phungus
Here it is. Modified the edges of the cube and lowered the polycount a bit to 122 000 polys. However, I have only checked it for artifacts in EIAS 8 so I don´t know how it looks in v9. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11909740/EI_cube.fac

Phungus
Great renders and materials. Compared to my attempts it is fun to see what someone with skills in EIAS can do...... :-)
S. Houtzager
Thanks! There is not too much to these renderings, just a GI sky light for the most part. That model captures EI well. Is Phungus your real name? I will give you credit if I post this on Facebook.
Phungus
Sent you a PM. Here is another model....this time a ball. Haven´t had time to check it for any artifacts though......https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11909740/EI_ball.fac
