hillsville Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Hi, Can anyone explain how to prevent/avoid "tearing" of a texture map. Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Ola, Maybe its a geometry shading problem, or the geometry is too “organicâ€. Thanks Tom Quote
hillsville Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 The geometry is more "organic." Short of changing the geometry -- can anything be done to correct the problem? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Ola, Please, Upload a project with only this group and only the texture applied. Thanks Tom Quote
hillsville Posted August 5, 2013 Author Report Posted August 5, 2013 ...hope you received the file -- I wasn't able to load to the forum? Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 Ola Gabe! Please, look the attached project, I removed the master material and applied directly the texture as “planar†in the group. In the alignment tab, you can click the buttons and Animator will try to apply the texture for you automatically. I choose the “right†button. Thanks Tom Test_Tom.zip Quote
hillsville Posted August 6, 2013 Author Report Posted August 6, 2013 Hi, Thank you -- it worked great. Quote
Tomas Egger Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 Ola Gabe, 1) I added a simple Reflection Map in the World window: 2) Changed the group Reflectivity Material, Full reflection, a bit of Edge reflection and turned on the Reflection Enabler Raytrace Mode to “Normalâ€, which make Camera render raytraced reflections based in the map added in the World WIndow Reflection Map Project attached: Reflection.zip Thanks Tom Quote
