Is there any reason why ray traced transparent objects won't render with an alpha channel? I think last time the answer was that no app could do this. Tomas Egger Posted April 9, 2013 Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 Ola Brian, Right now, EIAS cant do it directly, you need to render a ray trace pass (beauty pass) + change the Render Mode to Phong and render another pass, but this feature is in our to do list. bwcc Posted April 9, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2013 it doesn't really work, because the transparent areas are distorted based on the refraction - hopefully it will be in 9.1?? There is "transparency" layer in EI_Layers shader, Can it be used to create "RT masks", like in attached prj? If not please tell us what's not enough.
