vic3d Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 What is the best way to get trees from speed tree into EIAS? I am trying with the demo but UV textures don't work. Is it because its only the demo? Also I can't import the FBX they have to try for free. Thanks. Vic Quote
Tomas Egger Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Ola Vic! Its .OBJ and UV works, take a look... http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Speed-Tree.jpg Thanks Tom Quote
vic3d Posted February 2, 2013 Author Report Posted February 2, 2013 Thanks Tom, does the FBX work so one can have a moving tree? Because I tried that too and it didn't work. Again, probably because I am using only the demo. Thanks. Quote
Tomas Egger Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Ola Vic! You can import Speed Tree with Textures placed even in the Demo, you need only to choose: Hierarchy: Merge all Separated: by Material Thats it, wait a bit to Animator load the geometry and since Speed Tree Export groups materials with Maya terminology, you will need to find the textures in the folder. Probably FBX will not be able to load the Speed Tree animation, it will need a specific plug-in for that. Thanks Tom Quote
