opening prj from a pc on mac

Is there any reason I cannot open a prj file on a Mac that was made on a PC? I keep getting a message "Cannot read File xxx.prj"

We have tried several times.

I cannot open the project either but I see I'm missing some files. Sofa_sectional_001.fac and some wood texture like wood7.png

Could you post a collect of the project? Was it originally done in V8 PC?

Pretty sure they used v8 since they just started using it. You got farther in opening it if you see files missing. I get the message right away and cannot get further.

No go.

File could be corrupted. Can they send a fresh one?

Maybe someone using a PC could try but I doubt it would make a difference.

As for the missing files I saw, simply drop the project file on a text editor and you'll get bunch of info and a lot of gibberish...

Thanks for checking guys. They sent me a couple versions (times) since I was having trouble opening them so I will see what the problem is.
