Diego
Hi Vic, this render is really much better than the first one to me, :) Perhaps should bring up the intensity of the sunlight coming through the door, without actually burning but will give more realism. Also more intensity for the lamps of the roof, maybe a bit of glow should help here on the lamps. The plants need some specularity adjustments to shine a little, the leaves. Congrats for the good work! Cheers Diego
vic3d
Ola Vic, I work with Gamma and the new Texture Filter shader to do renders like these ones in EIAS 9, all these renders are Photons + Irradiance: http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/17_10_v3.jpg http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/BATH-v2_v3.jpg http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/02_11_v3.jpg http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/09_13_v3.jpg http://www.eias3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/07_15_v3.jpg Thanks Tom How did you do the reflection of the tiles in the bathroom Tom? Tomas Egger
Ola Vic, The tiles on the bathroom wall are real separated models, so, I only added Irradiance reflection. Thanks Tom
vic3d
Tom, my question is because the reflection on the tiles is distorted, they are reflecting in different angles... I am interested in doing that effect for tiles and also for large glass façades, etc. Thanks. Vic.
Tomas Egger
Ola Vic, Its exactly this, since they are separated models, they have different angles in the surface, really subtle, but give this effect. Thanks Tom
vic3d
Thanks Tom, one last question: did you use normal bump maps for the whicker and toilet paper? Vic.

vic3d
Due date is here, thank you all for the help. I will upgrade to 9 as soon as possible so I can apply all of your feedback. Does EIAS9 work with MacOSX 10.6.8? Or do I have to switch to the newest OSX? Again, Thank you all. Thomo
Hi Vic, Nice job. Came up well in the end. Good improvements. One question; why is there no shadow under the sofa in the foreground? What was your lighting setup? That is, where are your lights? The floor tiles came up well, was that Tomas's glossy? Looking forward to some more great images. Thanks Greg

vic3d
I just noticed the lack of shadow, thanks Thomo, I still have time to fix it. I have some lights there with no shadows. How can I post here my project so you can have a look at my lights? Also I am not getting emails from the forum, so I don't know when someone replies. Does anyone know how why that is?
