I'm working with a lot of text made with Zax ProModeler and am finding that the imported models do not inherit the scale of the parent object or null even though I have the option checked in the user preferences panel.

Does not translate through to:

What am I doing wrong?

man... 95% of what I do in EI is brought in from Zax Invigerator pro... I am ALWAYS checking the inherit scale dialogue manually for each object... your sample does not have it checked. The only problem over the years I run into and still have not figured out totally... is when I inherit scale... THEN try deforming it... and the model does not "stick" together...

worse case scenario... export the object and re import it. Sorry I dont have a 'fix' for you. It "should" work fine... and im a huge user of zax 'fact' models...

Well I guess that's just how this little corner of the world works. At least it occurred to me to try Pro Modeler as a format converter. I've never had much luck with Transporter converting Modo's .obj files, but now it's a breeze.

Thanks!

it did NOT occur to me to use it as a model converter... we all keep learning no matter how many years we do this... good luck to you

Don't set inherit scale individually, set one then clic on "inherit scale" with the right mouse button and select "set all" or whatever other option you see fit.

yes Richard... you can set them all with one click... but when importing 15 or 20 models at a time from invigerator... depending on your animation concept, you dont necesarily want certain shapes to scale up as others you may want too... if I have 100 shapes with 70 that may need scaling in my animation... ill do your shortcut to all of them and manually check off the ones I dont want... I should not have said that i "always" manually check the boxes... i mis spoke...
