Shadow alpha channel

Hi all,

I can't seem to figure out how to create a shadow alpha channel.

I want to have a "shadow only" 3d tree cast a shadow onto the ground etc.

I want to take just the shadow alpha channel into photoshop and composite.

I know I've done this before but not for a while.

Give the EI layers shader a try. You add it to the Layers tab of the Render palette. There is a video tutorial on the subject in the Rendering section of video tutorials. I haven't tried that yet.
