Scaling issues with children of parented ojects

Hi all,

I seem to be having some trouble getting a group to scale properly when they are parented to something I am scaling. I have gone to the joint editor and chosen inherit scale and set offspring etc. This seems to work on some objects and not on others. Can anyone shed any light on this issue, it is causing a long delay in my workflow, the models are from eim and I am using V8.0.

I have found it very dependable when I parent everything to a null and scale the null. You can set in the preferences that items come into EI with inherit scale already checked.

Have you selected inherit scale on all the children and not just the parent? Also if the children aren't parked Eg their xyz are not 0,0,0 you can end up with strange results.

Yeah Robert is right, this works fine so long as all the children have 'inherit scale' checked.

My heirarchies were all not set to inherit scale in the Joint editor.
