Guest supernova
Are we going to need upgrades to these for version 9 when it comes out? Will there be some added cost? What about the Paralumino tools we own? Do you own the rights to include them in EI itself? Thanks! Excited to see what you guys do with EI!! Tomas Egger
Hello Scott, “Are we going to need upgrades to these for version 9 when it comes out? Will there be some added cost? What about the Paralumino tools we own?†We can repeat what's said in our new SDK announce: all actual MODEL plug-ins should be able to work with EI9 multithreaded and 64-bit render. If some plugs will have probs - we're responsible for their solution (for Konkeptoine and Para plugs as well). The 64-bit support for MForge and others Konkeptoine shaders (published on our site) will be added during EI9 beta-testing, e.g. before release. No extra cost will be added, 64-bit update will be free for users of these shaders. Thanks Tom
bwcc
What about the Northern Lights Plug-ins? Will they still work? brian
Tomas Egger
Ola Brian, “All actual MODEL plug-ins should be able to work with EI9 multithreaded and 64-bit render.†We did a way which every actual tool will work fine with the new Camera MP + 64 bits, if the developer improve it, it will become better. :) Thanks Tom
Ian
To put it simply, there is a '32bit compatibility mode' in EIAS 9 that means all old plug-ins will work, but if 3rd party developers port their plugs to 64bit, then that's even better :) Ian
