RobK
Hi everyone, what is the best strategy for rendering large images with plugins like Placer on a single processor machine of modest means. Time is not a problem, but I am trying to avoid RAM limits with Placer by breaking up the image. I am using Placer to add fur to a rat (not very original but it is what I need to get done at the moment). Thanks, Rob.
RichardJoly
Rob, To render in strips just follow Ian's instructions in this video. Don't forget to add an instance of Placer in each of your slaves. http://www.eias3d.com/process/show_video.php?id=1157&iframe
Tomas Egger
Ola Rob, Dont forget you can use the General Settings Tab inside Placer which allow you to have more instances in your “rat†without give you RAM problems. - Instance Mode Type 1 and Type 2 allow you to have more instances in the surface. - Bonding Box preview - OpenGl redraw less polygons. A long time ago, I did a mouse with Placer :) Hope this help Thanks Tom Hi everyone, what is the best strategy for rendering large images with plugins like Placer on a single processor machine of modest means.
