FelixCat Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 No more info. I can hardly imagine how can be made: http://www.wimp.com/mandelboxflythrough/ FelixCat Quote
KurtF Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 Nice find. I wonder how this was choreographed? The compositions were able to focus on specific features at key times during the movement. Quote
WHD Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Wow, Was all that detail being defined by a shader? Can't imagine something of that complexity being defined by hand. You can see the fractal patterns in the structure but the variation and level of 3d detail is amazing. Also wonder how long that took to render. Too bad the page it is posted on is so blank. AVTPro Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Amazing. Mandlebrot is a fractal, that does something similiar in 2D. Maybe Mandelbox is a 3D derivative of that equations. Quote
interstellar Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Hi Everyone, I found the producer of the clip on "fractalforums.com": http://www.fractalforums.com/movies-showcase-(rate-my-movie)/mandelbox-trip-with-new-camera-control/ And maybe this is the place to get the application: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/ Joe T Quote
KurtF Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 And the software as well! Thanks for the links. This is amazing. Quote
