  1. this feels like a real new 'era' for EI.... I hope we all can push "nicely" for vendors like ONYX and of course EI itself to bring these capabilities to the platform. I would imagine EI will need to sell a few copies and have a solid business model to survive the next 5 - 10 yrs before some people commit the time.... Im "hoping" that with the new model import system the amount of work on "onyx's" end just may be much less than before... I spoke a number of times with them... (were both croatian) and he told me the programming time involved to enable EI compatibility was too much vs how many of us out there would buy it.... However, now that the model 'system' is so much more robust and modern maybe this would result in a much quicker port.... I can DREAM can't I? I had tree and tree storm straight from MacWorld where they sold it years ago and have so many animations that used it... real flow connectivity and tree would be awesome... id pay plenty for it....
  2. I'm still unclear Tomas with Renderama.... maybe if I ask the question this way... the way I use it now... ONE MACHINE with 8 cores.... if I have simply ONE project to animate... can I simply ignore using renderama because camera will AUTOMATICALLY use all 8 cores? Or like maher asked above... do i still need to launch 8 slaves individually... when it comes to more than one computer... Im not asking that... and if I have more than one job to QUE up, that makes sense to need a simple tool to line them up... thanks... Ill be purchasing soon regardless, but Im very curious...
  3. Congratulations on the new release! a couple quick questions I cant seem to find answers too right now... #1 does camera "auto" adjust between 32 and 64 bit... or do we need to set it to one or the other? I use Mr Revolver a lot... does my WHOLE scene render slower... OR does camera simply generate the model in 32 bit mode then 'switch' to using all processors for the render? #2 maybe this is a dumb question, but why do we need renderama with a multithreaded camera? Is it for scenes heavy in 32 bit plug in use? Is there a way to tell if a given scene is fully able to use all cores before rendering? #3 has the new model import system been tried or interfaced with Next Limits Real Flow? future integration possible? Im not a programmer but I "think' all that is needed is a plug in.... maybe its not too much work to create this in exchange for direct access to that amazing fluid generator... Thanks! I cant wait to learn all the great new things EI has to offer.... it looks wonderful! Scott
