Frankg
Hi all, I want to visualize oscillations and interferences with EIAS. They should show as blended lines. Do you have any idea how to realize that? Writing a new shader for example:) They must not be real 3D. It works fine for me if they are a texture on a plane for example. See attachment. S. Houtzager
Wave deformations might be able to do the trick. Not sure if it can do elliptical waves or not. Steve
thingmaker
Perhaps you could create 2 shapes in Illustrator (better if you need an alpha) or Photoshop, one just different enough to create the interference. Then drop them in to AfterEffects and either rotate or scale one of them. Save out as .mov and use as a bump map on a well-tessellated plane. Here is an example that I just tried: Don't know what happened to the samples I uploaded, they got overly compressed. Frankg
Thank you all. Actually it seems that the simple wave shader will do the trick I need. Some things can be so obviously simple, you can't imagine:) I'll post the final result, since it is finished. Regards Frank
