JoeV
Started a project -- and I'm using GI and one area light with a dome for illumination. Doing test renders and the glass (blue rectangle) has that strange pattern in it. What am I doing wrong?
S. Houtzager
I think you might have two glass pieces occupying the same position. One is colored dk blue and the other light blue. Did you put that machine into a bowl, blends with the background well.
maher
I had that same triangles pattern in one of my render last week. It also imply a transparency and GI. I just don't remember how I get rid of it. I think it had something to do with enabling sky map, even at very low intensity settings, like 0.1... maher
OK, I can reproduced it now. It look like we cannot have secondary rays in Global illumination with sky light enable and at the same time photons database set with GI and secondary. If I uncheck one of those (sky light, or GI secondary or photons database for GI & secondary), I get rid of that strange triangle pattern. Tomas Egger
Hey Joe! If you want to collect the project and send me, I can take a look too. Thanks Tom
