meester smeeth
Hello there Does anyone know if there are any companies in the UK that use Electricimage? Nice one
barnabythebear
Hiya Meester Smith, There are a few I believe. There is Persona-id in Cardiff and (i think), Robert Watson in Manchester, who both do great Arch Viz stuff. I use to use it at my pervious company, Wicksteed Playscapes, but now they are 100% Max. I still do freelance playground design with it. ta nige

meester smeeth
Thanks for the replies fellas and hello there James, I have met you before, a few years back in Manchester. I was working with Ian and Rob at the time, how are you doing these days? They have pretty much moved on from Ei in general now, so I was just looking around the country to see if any users needed help with work etc. I work for 5 Square in Edinburgh at the minute, using Ei to create property/renewables/infrastructure/promo videos etc. The company is not as stable is it was, so it's good to know who is out there these days. It's funny, all the uk users mentioned above, have all been in a pub in manchester together!
gyroo
I'm in glasgow. Used to run a company using EI, now freelance and using EI less and less... but always good to know there's another pair of hands around if needed. Nothing atm. meester smeeth
Hey Dave, If you are not too busy, we might even have some work that could come your way at the minute. What modelling software do you use?
gyroo
Hi Modo is my weapon of choice - I really like it. Also use silo some. For more techie nurbie stuff I use solid works, but it can be a pain transferring models. Rarely now use FormZ - mostly when EI is wheeled out. :) Dave
MickaelBehn
Im in the Uk as well. I got trained in Softimage back in 96 when i worked doing trade shows demoing Softimage for Microsoft when they owned it. Then got trained on the pre-release 3D studio Max but then decided to get a 3D communication degree and got schooled with EIAS 2.7.5p film back in 97-98. I work more in UK TV Broadcast Production these days specialising in Editing/transcoding or all formats. So, Now a days i mostly dabble with EIAS doing odd jobs here and there (flying logos and crap like that) just so i can use EIAS. Still love it, just wish i could find time to use it more.
